  1. i'm somehow beating Vance this week
  2. Ivy is the most evil plant ever
  3. CNNSI has one too...Bears taking Dymetrius Byrd, WR, LSU. It's an exercise in ridiculousness. I don't see the problem. It's an early look at where these guys think the teams will be drafting (ie, how good or bad they will be in 2008), and what players people should keep an eye on this college football season. plus guys like Kiper and McShay now have nothing to do for the next several months
  4. a very good friend of mine's last name is Haubrich. that is all
  5. it's amazing how hard the A's phenoms have fallen. Zito, Mulder.....
  6. Lou has really "managed" a lot this year. it's getting Dusty-esque out there with the double switches and bullpen management
  7. Theriot is hitting .227 over his last 5 games. bench him please
  8. i know it's ridiculous, but McShea (sp?) already has a 2009 Mock Draft up on espn.com, with the Bears taking Tim Tebow :pukel:
  9. Just stop it. Stop what? Explainign that theres no point in trading for a mediocre player when we have 2 guys who can potentially be just as mediocre as Green? Lets just go ahead and trade for CoCo Crisp when we already HAVE Reed Johnson and Felix Pie. I'm not saying that Cedeno is a gyuaranteed impact, but I am saying that theres no point trading unless its going to make an impact. Now if Texas was waving Michael Young in our faces, or for some reason Tampa Bay wanted to get rid of Carl Crawford, by all means go for it, but I will not join the Khalil Green band wagon. so having one player who can put up the numbers of your two players isn't an upgrade?
  10. how good are those guys, Raisin? PSU lost it's best defender when Lee tore his ACL back before the spring game
  11. DL'd guys don't count against your roster. I'm trying to get another catcher to replace Posada. So what you're saying is that I need to wait for Posada to hit the DL and then I'll have a freed up spot to add someone else?
  12. It's a lifetime of pain, not just this April. No, he's right. Games in April don't count, so no need to get upset. well, punching anything about sports is borderline psychotic
  13. having trouble adding a player. i have an empty bench spot, but adding a player keeps telling me i would be over roster size. so i drop the player in my DL spot, and it STILL tells me that i would be over roster size by adding a player. what gives?
  14. i see that Justin King was taken by the Rams. have fun fading into obscurity, loser
  15. if you punch things over April baseball games, you need psychiatric help
  16. i didn't follow the game thread last night, so i'm sure it was discussed, but was anyone else completely disoriented by the high camera position behind home plate last night? I couldn't get the correct trajectory on any balls hit to the outfield
  17. after i saw that catch i said "that's either the best or the stupidest catch i've seen in a long time" had he done that at Wrigley he'd be in traction right now
  18. i'd be far more concerned about improving the rotation come July than the bullpen
  19. this is the first time in years that I don't care at all about the draft. i haven't figured out exactly why either
  20. i'm pissed that my game thread starter status lasted one lame game. bob howry, you are dead to me
  21. yeah, he's done a great job of taking ABs away from votto, who's clearly the better player. Hatteberg made his first start since April 10th today. Yeah, really taking ABs away. Just bash him for his 9-14 record and stop reaching for other stuff. Yeah, that was a bit of a reach. But don't fool yourself into thinking the Dustman will fair to young players even half the time. Give the man a viable option/excuse, and watch what happens. No reaching is necessary, he has done it consistently his entire career. But even if he mends his ways, you can still look forward to some of the worse in game management in recent memory. to be fair, you couldn't have "in game managed" any worse than Lou did in Game 1 vs. the Rockies a few days ago
  22. they are only doing two rounds on saturday, thus the later start time
