  1. that's some Big XII quality tackling right there
  2. WOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
  3. wow, guess he dropped it.
  4. Huh? How is that not an INT?
  5. will it come down to the foot of Mr. Walk-On?
  6. this is the Big XII....each team might score two more TD's in this amount of time
  7. actually if texas scores here and then kicks the extra point, and it ends up being a one point longhorn win, then the red raiders should not receive a loss, since the extra point doesn't really count for anything and the game is really tied and going to overtime. man, this is so confusing all close games should just be tossed out, a win is the same as a loss, a loss is the same as a win only blowouts will count in mephball Where do you rank Ball State? unranked mephball only recognizes national powerhouses Ball St. would be the 2nd best team in the Big 10, amirite?
  8. You're right on this one. They match up better with the SEC teams. As I said last week, their athleticism depth doesn't match up and I'd be worried about them in the second half against a USC, Florida. I do think their defense could stop Big XII teams and their offense could put up enough points to win against them. Not sure they can do much on Florida or USC. They won't be able to score much, and I think the depth of skill athleticism of USC and UF could make it ugly in the second half as the starters for Penn State wear down. I think your knowledge of the Penn State depth is lacking. Their backup QB, HB and TE are as good as the starters, and they are 5 or 6 deep at WR. Whether the PSU defense could match up with the speed of, say, Harvin is up for debate
  9. dont' forget, PSU shouldn't be in the title game because Ohio State lost the last two. I hear this logic all the time on sports radio and can you really deny it? I mean, PSU '08 is exactly the same team as OSU '06 and OSU '07, amirite?
  10. While I agree, the ability of Rose to get to the basket will hopefully help overcome some of those bad shooting nights. i mean more assists all around. Thomas can be a better player if teams start collapsing on Rose in the paint. I hate Thomas trying to be a jump shooter. Where is the pick and roll with Rose and Thomas? Uncharacteristically I agree with you 100%. Del Negro needs to watch every New Orleans game from last year and see what they did with Paul and Chandler, and do the exact same thing with rose and thomas
  11. sign Blanco as bullpen catcher and he can mentor Soto all day

  13. good win, but i'd like to see more assists. a team of guys trying to create their own shots is prone to failure on a bad shooting night
  14. i HATE Wayne Larrivee on Bulls games. Sounds like alot of us have differing opinions on the Bulls guys. I just dont like Funk this year I know that. With no CSN, I haven't heard him. I liked Funk on the radio. Larrivee just drives me nuts with whatever sport he does (he's on ESPN2/Big 10 network at lot too). He gets super excited over nothing, and has like 2 catch phrases that he uses 100 times each during the game.
  15. that's what i'm saying....a pile of 1-loss teams with no common opponents means a howry-ton of subjectivity will go into the poll this week. voters have huge boners for USC, for example, and they may get a ton of votes that should be going to Florida
  16. i HATE Wayne Larrivee on Bulls games.
  17. it's a complete cluster, even if Texas wins. how does one objectively say who among Florida, USC and Oklahama is "better"?
  18. TT trying to blow this
  19. I'd imagine 2, ahead of PSU, but behind Alabama. with PSU being idle, I wouldn't be surprised. if Texas loses, i'm rooting for Bama the rest of the way
  20. if TT wins, how high do they jump? #2? #3?
  21. your 2008 Heisman Trophy front-runner....give him a hand
  22. seems crucial to have a good start this year. How many years recently have started with a just terrible first few weeks?
  23. Bulls have already taken as many 3's tonight as they did the entire Boston game.
  24. three undefeated teams would make more BCS madness than UT losing. two undefeated teams and a 1 loss team jumping Penn State would be even more madness than UT losing. Root for those instead. Wouldn't TT,PSU, and Bama all still be undefeated? Do you really think TTU would beat Oklahoma State, Missouri and Oklahoma? probably not, but since no one plays defense in the Big XII, why bet against the team that throws for 400 yds/game?
  25. it'll be like last week. OU will score like 10 in the second half. The most points i've ever seen scored in person was back in like 1990 or 1991 when I saw Penn State beat Cincinnati 81-0
