Today will bring my career record back to an even 2-2. me too, as 1996 was the first year I could vote (my 18th birthday was 3 months after the 92' election)

I watched the game on and off tonight, and man, Tyrus Thomas....what in the hell is he doing, like, ever? He's trying to create his own jump shot, he's turning the ball over off the dribble, he can't pick, it's just terrible -

You watching these games? Most of Thomas' stupid 27 foot jumpers are from pick and rolls. I've only seen the Celtics game, thanks to my lack of WGN Chicago and CSN. that said, they need to to pick-and-roll where Thomas is heading towards the basket, not picking and then hanging out 17 feet from the basket -
If PSU goes undefeated but gets no NC, that would be the 5th time in 7 undefeated seasons.

I'm just saying that I think PSU struggles less against OSU at home in this case. Either way, it was the only close game PSU has played this year

a six point flip would make it go 13-6 to 19-0 (or 16-3). But that doesn't take into account a true freshmen QB playing in front of 110,000 hostile fans instead of friendly ones.

How would Penn State have done had the game against OSU been in State College instead of Columbus?

OSU could very well lose another game before year's end. They never play well @NU, then they play @Illinois before finishing at home vs. UM. OSU can't score on offense to save their lives. NU is the most likely of the three to beat them I think.

does a conference winner have to have a minimum BCS ranking to get the auto-bid?

I don't think it always makes for the most exciting bowl matchups though. I also think there should be a minimum win requirement (9 or 10) for a conference to get an auto-berth. If the ACC champ is 8-5 then it's lame that they get an auto-bid to the Orange Bowl over an undefeated Ball St. or Utah

we've already avoided what would have been the worst BCS scenario, which would have been the Big 10, Pac 10, SEC and Big XII champs all undefeated.

Sounds about right to me. And good thing we have the BCS and no playoff. :? Same here. I'm not in favor of jumping one team over another team who is in their bye week, but with all due respect to PSU fans, Texas Tech deserves to jump PSU in the BCS poll. I have no problem with that.

well they lost by 6 but the touchdown only came with ONE second... i'd still give them the #1/#2 spot hey look at that, a school letting their fans run on the field and celebrate rather than pepper spraying their student body. hopefully penn state was paying attention. pretty sure penn state students weren't pepper sprayed in the stadium, and i'm pretty sure Texas Tech students WILL be pepper sprayed if they go into downtown Lubbock and start pulling over lamp posts and throwing stuff off of balconies pretty sure you're wrong thought you were referring to the kids who were pepper sprayed last weekend post-OSU game
