    I think something is missing here. I have to believe that Wood never actually met with Hendry and pleaded to stay on the team or offer to stay for a one year deal.

    YEAH! That'll show 'em!!! I don't really want that to happen...but yes, it will show em. It will show Hendry that he made a huge mistake and he will have to take the deserved heat for it and we'll suffer through a bad year and the window will be more shut. awesome

    I've already said this multiple times. The Big Ten is playing the role of small market team that the Cubs give scrubs to in a trade here. I don't even think the Big Ten would take Missouri if they applied. That spot is being reserved for Notre Dame, and I'm not really sure what would change their mind. If someday down the line Notre Dame went looking for a conference. Other than a football conference championship, there's not really a reason for them to take Mizzou. I think they'd take Pitt as well. I don't know enough about Missouri's academic reputation to evaluate them.

    I know Kerry was just being honest, but those weren't particularly helpful comments to make. Now the fans are pissed, Hendry looks bad, etc.

    yeah, him...you figured it out (ha) Kenney's comment was dumb because he was on the receiving end. At least Towers is the guy holding the rights

    1) Iowa State would never be accepted into the Big Ten, for both academic and sports reasons 2) the Big Ten would never want a division set up with Michigan, OSU and PSU all in the same division. they would want the potential for a UM vs. OSU championship game every year.

    this isn't surprising. The Yankees 2008 starting pitching was about as "meh" as I've seen it in some time.

    if you were managing a Cubs game and it was a one-run lead in the 8th or 9th and you decided to bring Cotts, Wuertz, Guzman or Gaudin in to save it over Gregg, i'd call you insane
