  1. Yea dont forget that part that he used to bang Alyssa Milano, after that no way am I feelin sorry for him. He was also getting "polished" when he crashed his Porsche into the garbage truck! (costing him another DL stint. Luckily cracked ribs were all he got. :good:
  2. The Yankees were not trying to cost Pavano money, they simply wanted to clear his roster spot and wash their hands of this disaster. Pavano's reason for not accepting this (according to his agent) was that accepting the minor league deal would affect his MLB service time and thereby cost him some of his pension! I find this laughable am thankful that Carla Pavana will be pitching elsewhere next season.
  3. That was pretty funny. If the prank had not worked would Myers have gone home and beat his wife?
  4. Yes, but that doesn't matter. He's a team player, you see. A-Rod's contract was December 2000, Jeter then signed his extension (based on A-Rod's salary) in February 2001. Jeter had originally agreed to a lower deal a year earlier, which the Yankees backed out on when Juan Gone declined the Detroit contract. Jeter is adequate defensively, but I don't beleive he is the worst. He will be shifting positions in the next two or three years.
  5. it's because Wrigley has the nicest looking background for highlights. seriously. I could see that.
  6. Everything there is password protected... Basically, all I need to know is what # on the list is Derek Jeter's jersey and I need a link to back it up. I don't have a link, but my guess is that Jeter's jersey would not be among the top 10. I don't think you would find Jeter even in the baseball Top 10, let alone the overall.
  7. Well he can always freshen up with a moist towel.
  8. Shea is a pit and an awful place to watch a game.
  9. Thank god this thread got unlocked. JessE was a fun diversion from my day. The best line was when he accused the Cubs organization of spending 100 Million dollars to buy the division. :rotfl: I actually think I peed myself a little I was laughing so hard! Welcome to the evil empire. :hello:
  10. Why are the Red Sox fighting? Wasn't this deal insured? This really shouldn't cost them a dime. Don't get me wrong, I can't wait to see the infighting. However if the SAWKS didn't insure this, they are inept and I will love it!
  11. My first reaction is what if he gets hurt? I know athletes should have a life, that is just always the first thing that comes to mind.
  12. but he'd still outproduce mike mussina =D> Yes, That he would. He would also beat the Yankees 3-1 with ketchup on his sleeve.
  13. Maybe he can pitch with a bloody shoulder. Then Fox can show us his bloody shoulder 5000 times.
  14. Ok I will remember that....he is God.. because he posts on a Cub message board alot. Gotcha and also LSU > UF Of course, LSU is better than UF. Check out the sig. And no, he's usually right because he has an outstanding understanding of the metrics that determine the value of a baseball player. Ok.. Metrics don't determine how good a baseball player is lol. Just numbers. They are a very good indicator of how well a player will perform and how important to his team he is. Does it determine the pitchers he is facing? The ball park he is in? There are SO many more factorts then that. Guys, Jessie figured it all out. The King is dead, long live the king. Is that all cubs fan know? Smart ass comments? What team are you a fan of, smart guy? OK, I know I am late to this party and you all know the punch line, but I had to comment before I read farther. Please, Please, PLEASE somebody tell me that JessE is not a 19-20 year old Yankees fan trying to argue with Meph!! I don't think I could take that, =D>
  15. Maybe they will trade Peralta to San Diego. Thereby allowing San Diego to trade Greene to the Cubs.
  16. and hot young princesses in gold bikinis Don't forget the sticky buns on the sides of their heads. Perfect for a snack during ......
  17. STAR WARS. It is an easy choice. JEDI mind control on women! Who's with me!! :rotfl:
  18. http://detroit.tigers.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20080204&content_id=2363704&vkey=news_det&fext=.jsp&c_id=det If he continues to improve that is a nice deal for the Tigers. This helps keep down costs, money that can be spent on Verlander and Cabrera!
  19. Teams don't sign guys to new contracts and then trade them. It's over. Yankees picked up Gary Sheffield's option and then traded him!
  20. The Cubs report a day earlier than the Yankees. Does anyone know who is at Cubs camp early?
  21. Meph must be very sad today!
  22. Original, Voyager are the top two.
  23. My point is, much like ESPN's debate over the two young pitchers, there is no right answer. Both pitchers have good upside and you could be rewarded with either. These stadiums are the same type of argument. There is no wrong pick here. I've been to both stadiums, several times each. Both stadiums are great. Either pick is a good choice.
