    It's the same team I've seen for the past 5 years Jon. To put up those numbers against that defense is just what a Robinson team does. It's one thing to be slow and to be able to tackle but to be slow and not be able to tackle, well it's just the same old story. We've gone from beating (BE teams old and new) Nebraska, Texas, Ohio State, Michigan, Colorado (in their peak), Georgia, Clemson and LSU in the 80's and 90's to this. Yeah, I was suprised to see the score. Northwestern will probably be pretty bad again this year, so to get blown out by them is extra-nasty. What is Northwestern's team like? I am asking because Duke plays them next week

    I still think Ronny could be at least an average starting shortstop, given more playing time. However, as Theriot is an average starting shortstop, at least for this year, I am fine with not giving Ronny too much PT.

    even if this was true, if you can give up three months of Sabathia for an impact hitter you can cheaply own for a long time, it'd be silly not to make the move just so you can hold onto feeble hopes of a useless playoff run exactly. worrying about setting yourself up to be 6 games back of two teams that are definitely better than you is a bad way to build a team. tell that to ed wade

    The ACC is definitely the worst BCS conference. Wake will probably win it, this year. If Duke got 6 wins, that would be so ridiculous. Keener98 Duke 1-0 Illinois 0-1

    Duke wins their first game!!!! the best news to come from the game was that we made all four extra points and a field goal. this is the same team who held open try-outs on campus for a kicker last year.

    Oh no, bobby petrino lost. Duke is up 14-7 at halftime!!!! and west virginia won easily over villanova, with pat white going 25-33. today was a good day

    Matt Ryan has been named the Falcons Week 1 starter!!! I hated the pick when it was made (Glenn Dorsey), but he has been very impressive in the practices and preseason games. This was the right decision IMO. I think he will eventually be a very good QB. Sam Baker, the other first-round pick of the Falcons, has also been very impressive. I was also against that trade. I am starting to believe in Thomas Dimitroff as our GM. He also made a very good pickup in Turner. Michael Jenkins and Laurent Robinson have been good, also. Michael Jenkins has shown flashes of what made him a first-round pick. He is looking like a solid sleeper pick in a deep FFL league, this year. I am pretty optimistic about the future of the Falcons. I am hoping for a 6-10 season.

    maybe after his contract is up in 2010 If they suck in '09 or '10, they might be willing to trade him to get rid of the $10m he's owed in 2010. But, Tampa is not going to suck in '09 or '10.
