  1. I guess their [expletive] teams are better than most league's [expletive] teams, but their middle of the road teams, at least a couple of whom are going to get into the tournament, are no better than the 9th or 10th best Big East teams or the 6th best Big Ten teams that aren't going to get in IMO. Eh. Pomeroy has Florida State at 18, Virginia Tech at 28, Georgia Tech at 29, and Wake Forest at 41. Meanwhile, Minnesota is at 35, UConn is at 45, Notre Dame at 47, Illinois at 56, Seton Hall at 57, Cincinnati at 70, and South Florida at 74. Sagarin (combo of elo_chess and predictor) has Florida State at 24, Virginia Tech at 30, Wake Forest at 36, and Georgia Tech at 40. Meanwhile, Notre Dame is at 44, Seton Hall at 48, UConn at 50, Minnesota at 56, Cincinnati at 58, Illinois at 60, and South Florida at 63. Minnesota is the only one ahead of any of the ACC bubble teams in either one and only by six spots in one of the two, while lagging pretty far behind in the other. Minnesota does have a 25 rating in the predictor, but only 71 in elo_chess.
  2. Whoops. Obviously that would make four.
  3. The Falcons would have loved to get a cornerback here, but no good value on the board. The Falcons have big needs at LB and DE, too. Having said that, the Falcons quickly narrowed it down to three choices: Sean Weatherspoon, Brandon Graham, Sergio Kindle, and Everson Griffin. Kindle became the clear third choice pretty quickly while Griffin fell out of it and it came down to Weatherspoon and Graham. After much deliberation, the Falcons decided to take Brandon Graham, DE out of Michigan.
  4. I have pretty much made mine, but I wanted to wait until close to the deadline for it to be as accurate as possible. I will definitely have mine in on time though.
  5. I am in this year representing Duke
  6. I dont remember too many teams going after Hall after the Raiders cut him and the Redskins signed him.
  7. So glad I'm not a Portland fan these days. 29 games now after he put up 36 last night, though the 9 game winning streak is now over. They said yesterday the last person to have a streak that long was Jordan in the 86-87 season. Streak broke tonight
  8. Jay Jackson used to tweet a lot. TheJuggernaut13
  9. Tracy McGrady as their power forward?
  10. Is Zimmermann still supposed to be out next year?
  11. What? Didn't he only play there two years? I should rephrase, his number wasn't retired it was just an honored player like we unveiled last year with those 25 or so players. Still though, Joe Forte??? So was Wayne Ellington and Rashad McCants......
  12. No? He was ranked No. 20 by Rivals and No. 14 by RSCI. Perhaps that was the Duke effect, I don't recall how he was ranked prior to commitment/recruitment by Duke. He shot up a lot in his senior year. A lot. But, you can look up my posts from here, I definitely thought he shouldn't have been one and I still think he [expletive] sucks.
  13. I take it Meyers didn't make it? Doesn't sound like it. They have to fit more white guys from Duke on the team. Well, I thought for sure the 3rd ranked center would make the game. Oh well, I am sure there is another Greg Zoubek that Duke signed that has to get in this game in his place. Duke has no white guys committed next year. I would also think that there is no way any of our commits other than Irving would be a McDonald's All-American.
  14. a. dmac b. john wall Correct. Wall does get to the line more and shoot FTs better, but McCamey compares favorably to any player not named Evan Turner right now. ORtg %Poss %Shots ARate TORate 2FG% 3FG% Player A 110.3 26.2 22.5 37.5 21.5 55.6 37.8 Player B 111.4 26.7 23.0 34.9 24.9 50.3 37.3 Player C 133.8 22.6 22.8 28.0 12.4 49.6 39.5 Player D 114.1 33.7 30.7 38.2 19.7 59.6 25.0 Guess Player C and Player D
  15. Lee, Burke, and Cerda for me for different reasons
  16. Former Cub Josh Hamilton's school. :D Go Camels! (That's where I teach.)I know Brandon personally and Campbell is getting a very good kid that works very hard.
  17. Erin Andrews told Sherron Collins that he had his swag tonight (or something like that). I'm pretty sure Collins winked at her in return. Anybody else see this?
  18. [expletive] hell
  19. Favre. Not even a second thought.
  20. YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
  21. Please please please stay. Cutcliffe staying is about the only chance for Duke to be good in the next 5 years.
  22. [expletive] Air Force released a statement from Troy Calhoun saying that he will remain at the school. Rumors are that Hamilton is hot on the trail of Cutcliffe. I think Cutcliffe could do really well at Tennessee, but I am really hoping he stays. We could not get anybody like him this time around I think.
