  1. Wouldn't hurt my feelings if Purdue found a way to win this one. Makes me feel a bit dirty just saying that though. Illini by 5.
  2. Oladipo had a thing or two to do with that. IU escapes. I'll take it.
  3. Really looking forward to the start of the Big 10 season tomorrow. I'm not especially good with predictions, so choosing to just sit back and watch how this all is going to play out. I really think tomorrow is a huge game for IU at Iowa. As good as IU has been, there are still some question marks about this team. This is the first true road game IU will play, everything else was at home or neutral location (3 if you count Indy). I like IU's chances against anyone at home, but there is still some doubt with me when they go on the road. Iowa isn't great, but they will be ready and compete, curious to see how IU handles that. The first half of Indiana's Big 10 season is not as strong as the latter half. In order to be in position to win this conference, they need to take advantage of that. Their tougher opponents all come to Bloomington, with no road games against any of the predicted contenders. @Iowa @PSU Minnesota Wisconsin @Northwestern PSU MSU @PU I think they need to win all of these if they want to be in position to win the conference.
  4. Crean didn't really say, but I think he did mention that it wasn't a grade issue. Had to be something though for him to not even make it into the game.
  5. Rogers says possibly one year deal for Villanueva. Interesting...
  6. I don't think he is out for the year.
  7. Did it happen as a result of Hulls shoving him? Never know, Hulls is a powerful man.
  8. Also received the email, I think I was around 8000 last I checked. The email states they may not have available seats, and if so, you will keep your spot in line. I assume the only way of knowing for sure is to actually be there on the 12th? I assume I won't be getting a call before hand saying tickets are unavailable. I don't live close enough to really make use of them, so would have to sell the majority of them. Didn't they just bust some people for doing that?
  9. Stop me if you have heard this before: Maurice Creek out indefinitely with foot injury. Poor bastard.
  10. Elston participated fully in pre-game warm ups yesterday. Yeah, I didn't get some of the decision Crean made, especially in OT. All of Butler's bigs had fouled out, at that point Zeller should have had the ball down low on every possession. I think Perea's biggest contribution can be on defense and rebounding, this team could really use that right now.
  11. IU's talent was out worked yesterday. That was clear to me from my seat in section 208. IU has to find a way to get Zeller the ball more often, and Zeller has to get more aggressive and demand it. Right now, Oladipo is the best player on the team. I thought he did a good job on Clarke, and Clarke did a good job of hitting some amazing shots. I'm not down on this team, they weren't going to go undefeated, and they will certainly lose some more. Interested to see how Elston and Perea get worked into the rotation and what that will do possibly free up Zeller some more.
  12. Great win for Illinois last night. The Big10 is going to be a war this year, can't wait to watch it all unfold.
  13. Etherington just ripped his knee up pretty bad.
  14. Oladipo just embarrassed some poor kid.
  15. Never been one to care much about the Rule 5. It gets a decent amount of attention, and most (obvious exceptions) never amounts to much for most teams. Fun to pay attention to, but that is typically about it.
  16. JAIL BYRD, JAIL BYRD! DJ Byrd...you guys obviously knew what I meant.
  17. Russell Byrd. Wow. Needs to hit the bars tonight.
  18. Yep Not a bad strategy if you can make them. Been working for them so far.
  19. Has Illinois taken this many three point shots early in the shot clock all season?
  20. That was fun. UNC is obviously "down", so IU should have won this game. I didn't expect them to play at that high of a level though.
  21. I guess you can spin it and say IU is up 9 and Watford hasn't done a thing. I love how Ferrell can take over a game without even shooting the ball. Eventually he will have to do that, but right now he can just set everyone else up. Zeller seems to be a lot more aggressive tonight, I wonder why?
  22. I would've picked UNC if it were in Chapel Hill. If Zeller gets in foul trouble it could get ugly but I don't see that happening in the Hall of Calls. Obviously Zeller is key in all games, but I think IU matches up pretty well at the other positions too. This team is more than just Zeller, but he is obviously the most important piece. I'm expecting a close game.
  23. I'm shocked SSR is picking against IU. Should be an up and down game and fun to watch. You would have to think UNC will want to come out more focused than they did against Butler.
  24. Indiana's offense is so efficient. If they continue to keep playing decent defense, it should be a really good year.
  25. I'm sure that is how Groce drew up that last possession. A win is a win boys, take it.
