  1. Yummy (except for that gnome that keeps showing up)
  2. /want  I hate this [expletive] continent...
  3. no. the payroll for next year is about $120M and they've already sunk a lot of money into long-term contracts with Z and dempster (plus lilly is still under contract in 2010). offer him arbitration and probably watch him walk. Harden has ace stuff when hes on. It would be hard to just let him walk. Then again, hes one of those guys you dont want to give a big contract to because you never know how long he could be on the DL. If we could land Halladay, that would be great, but a rotation of Z, Lilly, Dempster, Wells and Gorz looks decent on paper, but you never know what to expect. I'd hate to see him go. Yes, he has inconsistent stuff, but then again Z's not the most consistent starter out there and he's signed for multiple years. I would love to keep Harden but if he asks for too much, let him walk.
  4. We'll have no choice, but in two years most of the current roster will be well above 30.
  5. 6:05 Milwaukee vs. Houston 6:15 Cardinals vs. Padres The Mets lost another player today as Wright got hit in the head with a fastball (though he walked off the field on his own strength). I'm starting to actually feel sorry for them. SF is up 4-1, so it seems we won't get any closer to the WC lead today.
  6. I'm looking forward to the Giants-Bears game
  7. His faceplant against the wall was pretty impressive Yeah, he initially had a bad read on it, meaning he had to run like heck to make the catch, resulting in him hitting the wall pretty hard. It still would have been a difficult catch if he got a good read/good jump on it. It

  9. Sucks that he worked himself into a jam, but nice working out of it as well.
  10. Too bad, but I think we'll get some more runs across before Duke's done.
  11. Bradley's really finding his groove
  12. This requires having almost no walks or HBP and having a relatively high number of sac fly's. (from Wiki:) "if a player has 2 hits in 6 at bats with a sacrifice fly, his batting average would be .333, but his on-base percentage would be .286"
  13. 3 hits in the first inning. I like our chances this game :D
  14. Baker has been really, really good lately
  15. He's like the anti-Fuku. Kosuke is an iceman, Milton get excited for getting as much as a walk.
  16. Fuku needs to stay in the leadoff spot
  17. This time there's a competent pitcher on the mound, so I think you'll have to settle for an easy win.
  18. GameCast had two of them right down the middle? No, 2 of them were down and 2 were up.
  19. Wow, 4 pitch walk to freakin' Milledge
  20. When I played, I wore a cup regardless of what position I played. I'd rather be slightly uncomfortable wearing a cup than taking a shot to the jewels. We're obligated to wear a cup in official league games. If we don't wear a cup, we're not allowed to play. Besides, wearing a cup in a sliding pants isn't uncomfortable to me at all.
  21. Luckily, the Cubs offense is far better than the Indianapolis Indians.
  22. Fred's not online. :( Oh...well that sucks. Remember that inning last year when Edmonds hit 2 HR's against the Sox? I think they scored 8 or 9 in tha inning. It was a 9-1 game at the time
