I know of no Cubs fans who call that "the catch". Yeah, that's pretty pathetic writing. It was a nice catch and all, but come on. The only moment in history baseball fans refer to as "The Catch" is the one by Willie Mays at the Polo Grounds I was wondering which "The Catch" (baseball or football) would be more famous, so off to google I went. Results: Youtube picks baseball. Wikipedia picks baseball, but it's close. Google's first hit is for the Wikipedia page on the football catch. Baseball in a split decision. The real question is: will White Sox fans start calling something else The Catch now? I don't think of White Sox fans as baseball fans
