  1. Yeah, they both had some exceptional baseball hitting skills.
  2. Lou pisses me off sometimes, and he's not the best manager in baseball but he much, much better than Dusy.
  3. don't even complain about the slashing call. it may have been bad luck that his stick broke that easily, but you can't not call that. I never knew that when your stick got broken in half that was a penalty. That happened all the time when we played street hockey and we considered it legal. Learn something new every day.
  4. Dissapointing loss. The Rangers and their defense are annoying. I guess when you only score on one 5-3 when you have 5 chances you have to be happy with a point. On a side note, how loud is the UC going to be during the playoffs? I was impressed with the atmosphere at the end of the game.
  5. I can't ever remember wanting Cedeno at the plate. He hit a grand slam against the Mets and the next day he got a hit with the bases loaded. Up to that point he had some good AB's and it looked like he might have figured out how to hit a baseball. Then he remembered he was Ronny Cedeno.
  6. It's all Kirk Hinrich's return.
  7. Big Ten Basketball
  8. Bulls are looking like an actual NBA team.
  9. I haven't watched much this year, have all Bulls games had the atmosphere of a rec. center? Or are there less people there because of the weather.
  10. I like how the Bulls are 2 1/2 games out of the 8th seed. I love the NBA
  11. Maybe Iowa has a shot on Sunday :good: (but not really, Purdue will beat Iowa)
  12. I'd rather have Marshall in the rotation than Garland
  13. I think this one is going to turn into a blowout.
  14. I surprised Buffalo didn't get called but there was no way the Hawks were going to let one go in there. You better win now that you've killed a 6 min. penalty Hawks.
  15. i have to question that. northwestern? most of their games have seen scores in the 50s and 60s. pomeroy has their adjusted tempo at 3rd slowest in the conference, ahead of only wisconsin and iowa (which is 2nd slowest in the country). Yessssssss!!!! We're good at something
  16. I'll take it! They'll most likely beat Iowa at home, I don't know who else they'll get though.
  17. Truf may be over the top with the N Dakota stuff, but let's get serious. Iowa is one of the most underrated states in the union. ehhh...only the eastern side, maybe. Iowa City is pretty good, Davenport has the river and that's about it, Cedar Rapids is a dump (that's pre-flood, it's worse now for obvious reasons) and Des Moines is the most boring "big" city I've been to. The Field of Dreams is cool though.
  18. I'm really in a hockey watchin' mood and I wish this game was on tonight. Oh well, I guess I'll watch some online feeds of teams playing tonight. Boston and Montreal should be a fun game
  19. Real men hang their hat on the GMAC Bowl.
  20. I hate every team left except the Cardinals.
  21. My mind says Eagles but I'm picking the Cardinals on a gut feeling.
  22. I think Brady has 5.
  23. There have been only two home teams win so far. So much for home field advantage.
  24. Iowa is bad. Really, really bad.
  25. IMO, that is way too much for perhaps a pitcher who grossly underachieved last yr. No way do Seattle recoup the prospects they gave up. I wouldn't be dissapointed at all in losing Cedeno/Wuertz, it's hard to say if Pie is going to pan out and I don't know who Stevens and Castillo are because I barely follow the minor leagues, but if they aren't stand out prospects I wouldn't mind giving that up for Peavy.
