  1. IMO, Sheets and Harden wouldn't be as bad as Prior and Wood because we had so much of the future invested in both those two arms. We were a good team last year without Harden, Harden just made us even better and the same is the case with Sheets. I just don't see how it would be that bad if we had Sheets and Harden and then they both proceded to be injured. At worst it would hurt us through this season as opposed to Prior and Wood whose injuries killed us, not only for one season, but for a couble subsequent seasons afterward. I wouldn't mind taking the risk on getting Sheets though I would much rather have Peavy.
  2. Who's going to win more games, Sooners football or Thunder basketball?
  3. I do feel happy for any die hard Arizona Cardinals fans. That franchise has sucked for so long.
  4. Stupid Jake Delhomme making me be reminded of Favre vs the Rams. That game sucked, it sucked a lot.

  6. Brett Favre would like to have a word with you.
  7. If that happens I'm not sure I'd want to watch the Super Bowl.
  8. So outside of the game I went to I have been able to see four games in the last month or so. The two games vs Detroit, the last game vs Colorado and this one.
  9. If the Eagles win, Arizona would host the championship game next week. I think they could beat Philly at home. The Giants on the road, not so much. I forgot they'd host Philly being a 8-8 team.
  10. Does Arizona have a shot against the Eagles/Giants?
  11. Something's not right here. Apparently there is a good possiblity that the Arizona Cardinals could be a win from going to the Super Bowl.
  12. I was going to make some jokes that made fun of North Dakota but then I realized that I was from Iowa.
  13. oh yeah. especially when we are in them :) http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/columns/story?columnist=schlabach_mark&id=3818270 13? I don't know about that. I really hope we aren't picked to be really good next year, we always suck when that happens. Im not sure 1 is a big enough sample size for that. I was thinking 05' and 06, and 97 or 98 to an extent if I remember right. I also have a bit of a hangover from the 01-02 basketball season (if that's the one where we were supposed to be really good.)

  15. Lickliter got outcoached pretty bad tonight. The loss of Tate clearly killed us as we couldn't rebound in the second half to save our life. Oh well, I need to remind myself we are supposed to suck. Between the football team and basketball team these close losses are going to kill me before I reach 30.
  16. Tebow was a freshman when they beat OSU right? That was the year he backed up Leak and threw those jump passes, correct?
  17. He's gonna get a lucky shallow OF blooper to win a game at some point, and you're gonna hear about his guts, and grit, and how he plays the game the right way. Wrong. Black guys can't be gritty. Don't you know the rules? I dunno. How else has Juan Pierre built a career if not for his grit? I think this rule needs to be challenged. Surely Neifi was gritty. Tony Womack. I never thought they were characterized as gritty. Juan was given the "speed doesn't slump" monikor, Neifi was a versatile sure-handed professional hitter (yes, I read that he was a professional hitter). And Womack was just Tony Womack. Silly argument of course, but doing a google search for all three with the word "gritty" included turns up hits for all 3 where gritty was used in reference to them (admittedly, I found only one direct usage of it for Neifi and Womack each). Are there any good players labeled as "gritty"?

Black guys can't be gritty. Don't you know the rules? Unless they are Juan Pierre. Oh...beaten by one post. That's gotta be disappointing.... ;)

  20. I'm surpirsed that college basketball is winning this.
  21. I saw Michigan shot 40 threes. That is way too much period, especially when you are playing a team of Indiana's caliber. Michigan is really lucky that they won tonight.
  22. Hoosiers looking like they will blow this one but I am glad that they are putting up a fight against someone else in the conference too. I think they'll probably beat us now in Bloomington.
  23. There is no reason that they shouldn't be able to put up points on the inside against them. Hell, Iowa is just as perimeter oriented as Michigan is and they were able to score a bunch on the inside when they played them. Michigan just keeps forcing up threes early in the shot clock and it is killing them.
  24. Iowa barely beating Indiana isn't looking as unimpressive as Indiana is whooping Michigan right now.
