    because I don't care about it. fixed it's not hard to imagine why truffle doesn't care about it. :?: your team would probably need to win one before you'd care. holy cross has won plenty of them. the reason i don't think it matters that much is because there's a postseason tourney where you cut down the nets and get a trophy. i guess it means that you're getting a good seed in the ncaa tourney, but really if you finish 1st or 2nd or 3rd in any "bcs conference" you're getting into the field of 64 and you're getting a pretty good seed. oh, well i figured you were talking about psu....my bad, i sometimes get you and derwood mixed up. i root for psu also but more for holy cross since they're both competing at the same level. i guess maybe my attitude about regular-season titles is partly due to the patriot league regular season champ not being guaranteed a thing except for home court advantage in the PL finals. you aren't even guaranteed an NIT spot, unless they changed the rules. A year or two ago they made it so the regular season champion got an automatic bid to the NIT, I believe. I think it's still that way but I don't follow the tournament so I'm not sure.

    If you're a fan of a small school I can see why a regular season title wouldn't be that thrilling because all that gets you is an auto bit to the NIT. If you lose in the conference tourney it's all for nothing.

    i didn't know you got a banner/trophy and cut down the nets for having the best conference record. i guess it's somewhat of an accomplishment, but in the grand scheme of things, a regular season conference championship and 50 cents will get you a phone call. Yeah, I suppose this is true.

    Hightower yelled at him first but that was pretty funny. As far as the game for the first half I couldn't be happier. Purdue has played phenomenal defense and has done a good job staying patient on offense. They win this game and they are back in the thick of things. They lose and they essentially have to win out to have a shot. a shot at what? Big Ten title I assume. regular season titles in basketball are worthless As far as the tournament goes, yeah they are worthless. Especially to smaller schools. But I wouldn't say they are completely worthless. You get a trophy, you get to cut down the nets and you get a banner. People also remember conference championships as a mark of how good of a program you are. What's one of Iowa's biggest knocks as a program? The fact that they haven't won a title since 79'.

    I agree. I've been on other teams boards and those teams fans have similar complaints then Cyno has with refs. So I agree, the NHL refs are without a doubt the worst refs is major sports, and I wish Betteman wouold get on the ball, and improve the quality of refs. NBA, College Basketball, College Football NFL refs and MLB Umps are bad as well.

    Considering how well they play us, the intensity of this game and it being Blues/Blackhawks I don't think taking the game lightly will be an issue.

    This is the trap... the most coward "hockey" you'll ever see... this is an embarrassment to the league and hockey in general. Someone PLEASE remind me (dexter I know you will) to never watch another Hawks/Wild game... ever.... I don't know how you could be a Wild fan. It's just a brutal style to watch.

    I moved to the QC after they moved to The Mark, I heard they sold out during the finals that year (don't know if its true). A big difference from when they had only a couple hundred people their final year.
