    How is it for the best? So we can pick Chase Budinger next June? Yay? at least we have a shot at getting somebody good. it worked out pretty well last year. what is the upside of winning at this point? what chance is there of something good coming out of it? sneaking in the playoffs and getting embarrassed by boston/cleveland/orlando? sounds fun. Well I wouldn't count on making a huge move in the lottery. Last year was an aberration, obviously. I'd rather make it as a low seed and get waxed by a powerhouse then draft at the bottom of the lottery. At least Rose would get a taste of playoff basketball. And you never know. Golden State won as an 8th seed and the Hawks took Boston 7 last year.

    I'm glad Iowa has put a big damper on Northwestern's tournament hopes after they took away our Big Ten Title one year and gave us a bad loss in a year where we were on the bubble another year.

    None ever came up about Arod until recently, either. At this point, I think it's safe to assume they nearly all were using and that tons still are, but are being more judicious about their use. But did anyone really want to find info on ARod? I think Andy's point is that hypothetically people are compelled to actively look for dirt on Sosa and haven't come up with anything. this is true. it's not like sosa isn't implicated because nobody really cares whether he juiced. i can guarantee you that magazines, newspapers and tv stations have dug into sosa's past to try to find proof - circumstantial or otherwise - that he used roids. he was one of the biggest baseball stars in the '90s and it would be a big story to whoever broke it. And that's different from A-Rod, how? It's a way bigger story that A-Rod used over Sammy, in my opinion. Probably. Because most everybody has concluded Sosa is guilty and A-Rod at this time is a fairly big figure outside of the sports world.
