    I think you're being sarcastic, but one of the fallouts from the 'scandal' is that what you described is what will happen- guys with these huge outlier years will be scrutinized a little. And you know what, I'm for the most part cynical anyway, so I don't see a big problem with it. Unless I have the guy on my fantasy team and he can't repeat the numbers. Baseball brought it upon itself and it is fair to question everyone.

    Does the AHL do an old MLB thing and the conferences never play each other? I remember Quad City pretty much only playing their own division last year although since I don't live there anymore I don't follow them that closely. I won't pretend to know anything about the AHL... I've only been to 1 Wolves game ever. But that kinda makes sense. Yeah, I don't really either. I went to the first ever Quad City game and that's it. They played Rockford so I saw Dustin Byfuglien and Chris Versteeg play before I knew who they were (I was beginning my return to following hockey so I didn't know any players at all)

    That'd be a sweet way to celebrate a Stanley Cup. The next two should be good. The Blues games have been fun this year even though we've lost most of them (except for the last one when the Hawks played like crap.) And Dallas has been playing pretty good. And tomorrow's game is a home game :shock:

    THANK YOU! I was looking for this and couldn't find it anywhere. I forgot about that game. That game was awesome. Wasn't that Z vs. Good Zito? Prior versus Mulder. I was right in the sense that Z was a pitcher for the Cubs and Zito was a pitcher for the A's in the same way the Prior was a pitcher for the Cubs and Mulder was a pitcher for the A's.

The 5 game series vs the Cards in 2003 Us sweeping the double header vs the Pirates to win the division Kyle Farnsworth vs Paul Wilson Z's homer vs the Astros My first and only attended playoff game (we lost) The Cubs beating the Braves When the Cubs went 3-1 up on the Marlins The expectations before 2004. The Cubs signing Nomar Jauque's and Barrett's home runs to beat the Cards early in 2006. Neifi's grand slam to beat the Cards. The Aramabomb to beat the Brewers in 2007. Soriano's hit to beat the Rockies after the meltdown. The Padres beating the Brewers All of the regular season last year. That's what I can remember.

    This is the type of game that would piss me off as a fan when my team is underachieving. It makes you wonder where this team was all year.

    Provus sounds like Thom Brennamen to me. Fortunately the content is different but the delivery and cadence are very similar. I can see the similarities to Thom.

    We usually have the opposite effect on people. It's either because I am the same way during Iowa games or because I fear mass homicides in Illinois every time they lose. I'm not sure which one. what is to fear about that? I just don't want Cubs, Blackhawks, or Bulls players to die.

    I don't think so, although my comparison would only be to the Big 12. In the Big 12 they only seem to screw you with questionable foul calls (block v. charge, call v. no call). if this is a standard Big 10 homecourt advantage, then no. This is nuts. Yeah it's the standard.
