  1. Don't most threads around here turn out that way? I think if we removed all of the off-topic stuff from this thread, we'd have only 100 pages. But that would take the fun out of it.
  2. Decent defensive catcher. Enjoy retirement Damian.
  3. http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20080130&content_id=2360377&vkey=hotstove2007&fext=.jsp&partnered=rss_mlb The Birds are trying a last ditch attempt to sign him for five years....which would be monumentally stupid. LOL The O's are funny
  4. I don't know what's more amazing, that this trade hasn't happened yet, or that this thread has reached 150 pages.
  5. I think we'd only acquire him if we trade Pie. I doubt we get him if Pie's still on the team.
  6. If Theo wants to trade him, then he shouldn't expect a large package in return. Unless he thinks he can outsmart Jim Hendry, which is hard to do.
  7. Depends on the situation. If he's replacing Pie because Pie was dealt as part of a deal to net us Greene, hells yes he's better than Pie. Oh, if only... Yea, that's the only situation in which I'd want him.
  8. 1. Mets 2. Dodgers 3. Cubs 4. Phillies 5. D'backs 6. Padres 7. Brewers 8. Rockies 9. Braves 10.Reds --------------------------------- 11. Nats 12. Astros 13. Marlins 14. Cards 15. Giants 16. Pirates
  9. You mean Hoops (or his source, I guess) is completely making this up? Either way, I'm on board the Crisp bandwagon too, though I hadn't realized how much his numbers had suffered since going to the Red Sox. Yeah, maybe a change a scenery would help. He was going in a good direction after 04 and 05, but then crapped out in Boston.
  10. I wouldn't mind Crisp at all if he wouldn't cost much to acquire.
  11. Wow, I forgot they got Haren. They could get to the playoffs again.
  12. You forgot the misspellings and complaints of misspellings I'm also calling for a Brian Roberts joke somewhere along the lines. I find all of these jokes pretty funny, for the record. So it's not like I'm complaining. The Brian Roberts thread will never die. Unless it is killed by Geovany Soto.
  13. Yeah, it's not really a problem. Now, if our 3 lefties were Mark Hendrickson, Horacio Ramirez, and Mark Redman, then we have a problem.
  14. OMG, I don't believe it. This trade is gunna happen. Put it down.
  15. He hit .293 which would've been towards the top for this team. Not to mention the 60+ SBs he brings to the table. I'd rather have Pie in CF just for the sake of developing a young guy by letting him play. But if he goes, I'd take Pierre over w/e trash you have in mind (Byrd?) any day. BA and SB aren't exactly good evaluators of a player.
