  1. http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/7949132/Sources:-Roberts-to-Cubs-looking-unlikely Oh well
  2. I forgot he was still in the system.
  3. http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/7949132/Sources:-Roberts-to-Cubs-looking-unlikely Way to waste 3 months on Roberts and leave us stuck with a top of the order of Theriot/Soriano, Jimbo. Well, heck. What a waste of time.
  4. Great deal for the Tigers. He'd get more on the open market. And crap, I didn't realize how much weight he gained. He really dove into those Twinkie boxes didn't he?
  5. Give em Marquis or Dempster. Their rotation is a mess anyway.
  6. Link When did this happen? I think he's predicting that.
  7. I really think that Marquis will be traded. Best decision? No. Demp should still be in the pen. Hwever, I think it's more likely that the rotation spots go to Lieber and Demp with Marquis getting traded by the end of the week.
  8. Tommy John probably doesn't feel the same way about Eyre.
  9. At this point, I'd prefer Les Miles, Rupert Giles, Aaron Miles, or AJ Styles to Marcus Giles. How about Bruce Miles? That's a given.
  10. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/baseball/cubs/857360,eyrecubs032308.article Davanon is a 34 year old career back up who got his most playing time for a few years with the Angels. And his career batting average is .259, not .295.
  11. I don't know why the Dodgers or anyone would want him in a trade. No one wanted him as a FA.
  12. That's a questionable metric by which to judge an outfielder. Say the guy lets a ball drop in front of him that a better center fielder would have caught, or breaks the wrong way and lets a ball go over his head; neither would go as an error. Yeah, I know that, but I posted it as an FYI anyway. I know that range factor and other metrics are a much better means to determine the quality of a fielder.
  13. It's funny you mention that, because I've been seal clubbing with Steve Kline before. I blame that on CT !! I hear that's the hip thing to do It's been the hip thing to do for quite some time now.
  14. Also, he has a career .990 FP and has not committed an error in 59 career games in CF.
  15. I expect better numbers than that from Johnson. Probably something like .275/.340/.410. Those are more in line with his career numbers. Last season was a down year and he was injured.
  16. I voted for CSNY, Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd, but I'm wondering where AC/DC, Bruce, Deep Purple, and The Who are.
