  1. It was a late ST 3-team trade. We got Bynum, the Ranhgers got Koronka, and the A's got some minor league pitcher I beleive. Look up two posts. :DYou win.
  2. I'd be more against this move if cotts was sucking down in AAA. However, he's actually thrown well, so I guess it's worth a try. I'm sure we'll see Ascancio back up this season.
  3. That's a good way to make everyone hate you.
  4. Kevin Hart for John Koronka, basically, because I believe we traded Koronka for Bynum. Good trade(s). So who's Dusty's new favorite in Cincy now? I swear Koronka went the year before. Bynum we got from the A's and Koronka went to Texas. Can someone put this together for us? It was a late ST 3-team trade. We got Bynum, the Ranhgers got Koronka, and the A's got some minor league pitcher I beleive. I must say I'm an Andy Phillips fan without a valid reason. He's also the definition of a AAAA player.
  5. All hail Bruce. The Reds have some great young kids on their team if Dusty doesn't destroy their souls and skills.
  6. How long til Dusty benches him/has him demoted/forgets he's on the roster?
  7. I saw that list and wondered why the heck Jackson and Uggla are there. I guess they didn't have anyone better to use.
  8. Wow, jsut saw this. Sad, sad stuff. He was awesome when he first came up with the Cubs. RIP.
  9. i think you're confusing dayn perry with mike celizic i dont really know what type of in-depth sports analysis you'd expect from MSNBC nobody in the country would even know who this guy was if he werent constantly ridiculed on a blog ok, then joe morgan or bill plaschke or whatever. everyone bitches about dayn perry, but he's better than about 98% of the baseball writers out there. That's pretty sad.
  10. I just made a trade. I need a better first baseman because Swisher isn't cutting it. I traded Hunter Pence and Jered Weaver for Conor Jackson and Scott Olsen. I then proceded to drop Billy Butler and picked up David Murphy, who will replace Pence. Thoughts?
  11. For the past few seasons, I've been in favor of acquiring Ibanez for the right price. If it wouldn't take much and the M's eat some salary, let's cut ties with Edmonds. However, I'm not sure how easily the M's would wanna part with him and I don't know how Fukudome would react to being regulated to full-time CF.
  12. I don't read Dayn Perry articles, they make me dumber.
  13. I heard about this. It's time for him to hang em up. In his prime he was untouchable.
  14. Never played great defense, but arguably the best hitting catcher of all time. Enjoy retirement, Mike.
  15. I'm excited about this. I was hoping Fox would do better but man he must be brittle if that's how he gets hurt.
  16. For the last time, it was previously worked out that the Cubs would draft a player for the Reds and trade/sell him to Cincy. There never was a possibility of us keeping him.
  17. Not surprised. They've wanted him for awhile. I'm kinda shocked the Padres didn't make a bigger play for him. Their offense could use a boost, and as bad as it sounds, Jacque would probably be one of their better hitters.
  18. Mark Prior is looking that list over and over and wondering where his name is.
  19. Maybe he should seek another profession.
