  1. Way to come in with a bang with your first post. =D>
  2. I'd say buy low and see what happens. Give him a minor league deal and see how he hits in AAA.
  3. If this is true, then it's hysterical while explaining a lot at the same time.
  4. Just DFA Eyre. He's in the last 2 months of his contract. So I think it is going to hurt the Cubs. If you can't get outs in a blowout, then you suck. You're Milwaukee Brewer bullpen bad. Orrrrrrrrrrr you're a guy who has done very well this year but hasn't been used since coming off the DL due to his bullpen-[expletive] manager and just might be more than a tad rusty. He got tagged in his last outing(s) before going on the DL and gets tagged in his first since coming off and his first appearance in over a month. Other than that, he's been fairly decent. I'd give him a few more chances.
  5. So Jake, how's it feel to be a Pirates fan right now? I feel for ya.
  6. If nothing else, the thought of Howry fist-bumping anybody is pretty funny to me.
  7. Gonzo is in his twilight years. His stats aren't that good and even his splits don't inspire me.
  8. If that trade happens, I'll be happy. Nice to see the Rays try to be competitive. I hope they win that division.
  9. I hate that he gets associated with this. I'd give him a hug if I ever saw him in person.
  10. I'm going away for a week. I'll probably pick a name today and PM Tim.
  11. Another "why?" move. Apparantly the Nats forgot about the first 2 years of the original 4 year deal they gave him: EDIT: He's making $16 mil over the 2 years. Wow....
  12. Wow, Bonafico? The Cubs could have gotten in on this. Seriously. If Bonafico got it done, Cedeno could've gotten us twice as much.
  13. This struck me a little odd. The D-backs have a fairly decent pen don't they? I thought if Rauch got traded, he'd go somewhere like one of the two NY teams.
  14. I saw this on the ticker and I still ahve no clue why this trade was made. I'm just thankful the Cubs aren't on the receiving end of Randy Wolf.
