  1. Adam Dunn now has 24 homers. Guess he's back.
  2. CC Sabathia to the DL. Yanks expect him to miss at least two starts. Might not seem like a long time, but anyone think it makes them more interested in swinging a deal for Garza or Dempster?
  3. He's been a decent hitter the past few years but this is on another level. I keep waiting for him to fall back down to earth a little.
  4. Jesus Move over, Tebow.
  5. Ken Tremendous on Youk http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/8093512/red-sox-nation-says-good-bye-kevin-youkilis
  6. Good stuff. And he's making his debut against the Mets, meaning I can actually watch it.
  7. I would love if we could acquire him. I'd trade Vitters for him but it would certainly take more than that.
  8. That Rays jersey is just, wow.
  9. I was in a Modell's in the area a year or so ago and on the clearance rack was a Xavier Nady Yankees shirt for $2. I bought it, of course. It's probably the only one in existence.
  10. This seems way too...sketchy. Doesn't sound like a real injury. Something else has to be going on here, possibly a trade in sight. Though, as others have said, why DL him instead of pushing his start back?
  11. He was askin for it, dude.
  12. Thank god. No chance of him coming back and haunting us.
  13. If Heyman's reporting on it, he must think he's a lock for the Yankees. But seriously, get it done Theo/Hoyer. No reason to be outbid.
  14. They forgot to include Jered Weaver, Kendry Morales and Hank Conger
  15. If a team feels his leg injury won't be a problem strictly as a DH and we could pick up most of his salary, I'd think someone should be interested. Over the last month, Soriano is batting .290/.355/.680/1.035 for the 10th highest OPS in MLB in that span and also tied for the most HR (11) in that span.
  16. Any chance we might hear something today? At least in terms of who made offers?
  17. B and B are not doing well this year and the Yanks likely won't part with both. They definitely won't part with Mason Williams either. The Sox could offer more. They have a decent Top 10, but I don't know who they'd part with.
  18. Dang, he's still got it. That pitch dropped off the table. I'll be rooting for him. Hope he gets the call soon.
  19. Rather them than the Yankees. They're stacked with pitching prospects. Arencibia and two of Snydersgaard/McGuire/Nicolino/Hutchinson? Maybe Gose? Why do you want him? Good fielding catcher with a power stroke. Jays have reason to move him with D'Arnaud knocking at the door. Didn't realize he's older than Castillo, though. Obviously he wouldn't be the centerpiece of a deal.

  21. I'm pleased with day one. Like everything I heard about Almora. And I'm happy with the pitchers in the supplemental round. I have faith in the new regime. Also, you can't really judge the draft after the first day, or even when it's over. Give it time, let's see how these kids develop.
  22. Would've preferred giving Bowden a few more innings but oh well. Some other team will give him a chance. Asencio has not much better this season.
