    Brewers, there is no sense in trolling here and making all Brewer fans look pompous. If you are looking to have a good discussion here that is one thing but there is no sense in trying to upset a teams fans at their own board.

    Word is that Braun and Fukodome did in fact go back and forth with the vote and their were hints during today's game that Braun may have ended up winning the vote. That may take Fukodome out of the all-star game completely.

    The Crew will either catch us before the ASB, or they won't catch us at all. This stretch of Cubs injuries/poor play is their window, IMO. That seems very tough to do. I could see them making up a game or two but not 4 or 5.

    I wouldn't think Lou has all that much say in the selection process and I am sure that Aramis would get the nod as the year he is having very much warrents it. I always like to think that these managers just take their friends so they can "have a good time" in the city after the all-star game.

    I hate the save category but you have to show a bit of adminration for a guy that can come in in an opposing ballpark with a run lead and mow them down 1-2-3.

    Lack of options for the Kendall comment is the answer plus name recognition. Who are you choices for the starting pitcher for the NL? I think it comes down to (as of now) Volquez, Sheets, and Webb. Dempster and Cook should be there as well though.

    Every team has players that have career years and down years. It's just a matter of getting guys that have a solid mean and play to it every year. Baseball takes luck out of the equation (mostly) by playing 162 games.

    My Opinions of Gagne: 1) Last night he was getting squeezed bigtime. There was also a play at first that cost the Brewers an out. Blue had an off day yesterday in Houston. 2) Gagne is a headcase that struggles when something doesn't go his way. 3) The amount of money he is making should not matter. I don't pay it nor does anyone else here. Tha fact that people here in Milwaukee bash him because he makes a lot of money is dumb. Bash him because he has a hrad time making adjustments to the strike zone. 4) Gagne is not Coco nor is he as reliable. Get over it people in Brewerland. 5) The Brewers pen is a lot better this year even with Gagne over Cordero as their closer. 6) Closers are dumb. If I had my druthers about me, we would go with the hot hand everyday and use Gagne when we need him regardless of the situation.

    Getting a little off topic but if there was a trade with the Rangers I would hope Laird would be returning to the Brewers with Millwood (who I am not a huge fan of).

    Ned seems like a guy who makes decisions based off a mix of very little information and gut feelings. I have a prediction that at some point Ted Simmons will take over for Ned within the next year.

    I am not up to date but what are Dempster's IP like the last couple of years. I bring this up as he may go through an extended dead-arm period as he adjusts to the extra work. Also, the Cardinals are a mirage in my mind. Their lineup is very weak (5th best in the NL Cent.) and their pitching will come back to the norm at some point.

    I am not a rash guy. I am also a guy that gives people the benefit of the doubt 99% of the time. This is the exception though as I think the trainer (Roger Capplinger I believe) should be reprimanded or fired for how this all went down. His job is to prevent injuries and he failed, plain and simple. There is not excuse for having him give the green light for him to go back out there.

    I don't know if this is ok to post and if not please delete but I have Brewer/Cub tickets as Miller Park for the July series. I will hopefully be in Vegas for this series (I have season tickets) so I am unloading them here before the EBay route. I understand that Cub fans travel well and I do not have a problem selling them to the people here as you guys all seem pretty nice. Here is what I got... 2 Tickets to Each Game (7/28,7/29,7/30,7/31) in the terrace level (tickets start at 20 dollars in this level as we speak). I am trying to sell all four games at once to lesson the hassle. I am looking to get $160 plus 5 for shipping and with the tickets I will give you a SI with Fukodome on the cover and a Cubs magnetic schedule I got at opening day. Anyway, if this isn't cool, please delete. I am not trying to make a huge profit here just don't want to mess around with selling on Ebay.

    Well, because of the blowout I got to do a little school work as I became disinterested in the game pretty quick. Good matchup tomorrow for the series with Gallardo and Zambrano.

    One day I dream of a Brewer team where they have a catcher who can hit and field. Until then I will watch the Kendall, Blanco, and Damian Miller's of the world. And as a fantasy owner, Soto=sexy time.

    Sheets looked awful but the control should come back and he felt no lingering effects.

    This doesn't make sense as the Brewers hold the rights to him beyond the 3 years. They wouldn't trade him with more than a year left to his rights.

    It's gonna happen this year that the benches clear. I really hope they don't have an all out brawl as I dont want to see any players suspended. Way too much hate between the teams right now.
