Things got ugly fast last night thanks to "classy" Joe Torre. He is not taking any blame but he had a pitcher warming up and ready for when Mota was thrown out. Prince is for sure frustrated but it is better than last year when he went after Parra. I still like the guy but I wish he would have went after Mota on the field if that's what he wanted to do. Maybe he didnt want to get suspended however.
It was a good deal and many people jumped on it. In the future I just don't see anyway the Brewers could ever sell out 41 games without deals like this. They are already stretching their population pretty good if you compare them to the bigger cities.
I don't think the OF is that bad. Sure they havent done much so far this year but looking at their career norms, they are sure to come back. You can't go by the amount of money a player makes and expect that production. Once the contract is signed, the fans should just consider the money gone and cheer on their players.
Funny that you say that. Watch for Braun in Web Gems tonight as he made a very nice catch. Because we all know that having a web gem totally validates your defensive prowess. Never said that, but your post mocked his defense prowess for tonight. Tonight he made a play that mot many LF could make. I'm hoping you aren't talking about the sliding catch he made where he pointlessly slid to catch the ball. He shouldn't have been involved in that play at all if whoever was playing center wouldn't have backed up on the ball instead of just running in and catching the ball. Then Braun was basically sitting still when he slid to make that catch. If that ball would have fallen in, it would have been one of the worst outfield plays i had ever seen in my life. Seriously, whoever was in center is a horrible center fielder (maybe i'm overreacting and they just had one REALLY BAD read on the ball) Nope I wasn't, there was a different play though it was nice to see Braun cover Cameron for once as Mike got a bad read on the ball off the bat. The slide was unneccessary on that catch however.

God no. All they have are two MVP canidates, a host of other hitters, a bullpen that is deeper than last year, an ace in the making, a deep bench, two pretty good SP, and two servicable ones to round out the staff.

The attendance figures next April and may (and beyond) are going to really be hurt by this open air stadium. I understand the need for a new stadium in Minny but as a Brewer fan I can tell you how nice it is going to Brewer games now as opposed to County Stadium during cold months. Hopefully I am wrong though as I like the Twins organization (the fans I can do without).
Man, I hate all 1-0 baseball games. So boring. This one is especially frustrating. Oh well, hopefully Phillie will get swept in the double header and the Cubs will win tomorrow, reducing our MN to 10. I am completely the opposite. There is nothing more exciting than a 1-0 game.
That was a big win for them.... Yay we ended a losing streak and barely squeaked out a win against an atrocious team with our lights out pitcher on the mound. FIREWORKS TIME Dude, a win in September when your in a playoff race is a good win no matter what happens. Especially to end a 4 game losing streak, and a walk off win. But fireworks? Umm, they have fireworks after every home win, its not a big deal lol. even worse Why's that? fireworks in baseball? Yeah they should put up a flag and sing a song.
If the same thing happened with Harden people here would be taking about how Lou abused Harden. Were you rooting on Dusty as he "rode his horses" with big leads in '03? Learn anything from that? Why as a Cubs fan would I care whether or not Sabathia gets a no hitter or not? If Sabathia had given up 6 runs and the Brewers had won 7-6 it would mean exactly the same to me as if he threw a no hitter and they won 7-0. I don't think the Cubs fans around here care so much wether ir not CC pitched a no- hitter, nor do I think there is any jealousy on our parts. We are just sick and tired of Yost and his constant whining and griping all season long. The man has no integrity and no sense of preofessionalism. You know--In '98, Riggleman was a man about it. Orie botched that easy grounder to 3rd and the 20 K Wood game ended as a one-hitter. I didnt Riggs complaining about the official scorer that Wood got screwed and how it should have been a no hitter. Links?
Again, the only reason CC went out is because he had a no hitter in Ned's mind. The pkay in question had LaRoche check swing one to the mound and CC instead of using his glove tries to pick it up and doesn't get the handle. The batter wouldn't have been close if CC evens gloves the ball. Should know next week the results of the appeal.
