hot tip: if you want to be the first team to win in Ames in two yrs just go 14-26 on 3s, including a surreal 6-6 barrage in 3 minutes, turning an 8 pt deficit into a 6 pt lead. I don't even know what just happened.

if it was at hilton, yeah, iowa st by 15. not so sure about at kstate. crazy that kstate lost by 30 to baylor and then beat KU 48 hours later. hopefully they only momentarily stopped being a dysfunctional mess and will go back to being a disaster by saturday. also crazy that texas sucks. maybe they'll finally put it together this weekend...

They do still have to go to Norman. i assume they'll lose that one, but iowa st (baylor, @ kstate, oklahoma, @ tcu) will also drop at least one more meaning kansas will at least share the title with iowa st. very happy kstate beat kansas yesterday, but now i'm concerned about iowa st's trip to manhattan on Saturday.

the bottom 6 of the big 10 is pretty terrible since michigan is trotting out its JV squad at this point. and that's not counting purdue, who has the most hilarious 9-4 conference record ever.

good win to (hopefully) end the stupid narrative about iowa st not being able to win away from hilton. they now have 2 road wins over ranked opponents (both teams that kansas lost to on the road). duke and virginia both have 3, which is the most in the country. wisconsin and arizona haven't even played a ranked opponent on the road. lot easier to pad your road record when half your conference is garbage.

winning on the road in the B12 is [expletive] hard. Did you see the final play? Staten literally spun at the 3pt line and drove to the hoop without ever dribbling. no call. We gave up like 64 offensive rebounds (and blew the game winning layup), so at the end of the day, the loss was still on us, but Jesus. Reffing is just so bad in CBB. Link here if you want to see Staten do the Charleston before driving to the hoop. yeah that was an obvious travel. though I gotta say it didn't look like a travel live. and yes officiating in college bball is a joke.

hard to shoot 14-29 on 3s and lose by double digits. not worth getting pissed about though because it's literally impossible to make a final four run with a defense this worthless.

agree that wvu will pose some problems for KU, but it doesn't matter in the long run. even if wvu gets KU in morgantown, wvu will have a couple slip ups....i mean they all but lost to tcu at home. I do wish iowa st would speed people up more, but their bench outside if mckay is worthless and the starters would die pressing the whole game.

I wish dejean jones would be invisible. that's better than him trying to get drafted every time he touches the ball. I knew they wouldn't get lay ups again. they can still win without getting scads of uncontested dunks but not when they play like that (and KU shoots the 3 like that). was worried iowa st would start poorly due to jitters or something, but they somehow managed to go into "early game pants [expletive]" mode 10 minutes in. weird. least invincible feeling KU team in a while but you ain't beating them at phog playing like that. ugh.
