4-2, Zito and Willis each go again unless something changes. I put Hill on my reserve. A couple of your starters need to tank for Buddiga to win. looks like bush is doing just that. i don't see how this new scoring helps pitching points when TBA are 1 point each. bush is on his way to a contreras-esque -25.

because for no real reason, lou pinch ran theriot for murton, leaving ronny as the only rh off the bench. the cubs' bench has too many guys who serve the same purpose -- cedeno and theriot, ward and floyd. for no real reason? theriot stole second. he served his purpose, even though he screwed up and made a dumb out. you gotta be kidding me. you're honestly telling me he "served his purpose" after he made a horrible baserunning mistake? man, are eyre and howry overpaid/overrated. his purpose was to steal second. you can't anticipate that he's going to make a mistake that little leaguers dont even make. i would've rather had murton in there, but they brought theriot in to steal, so yes, he served his purpose. they brought him in because he's supposed to be a better baserunner than the guy he's replacing. obviously, that wasn't the case.

i usually don't care that much about defense (especially OF defense), but this outfield has the potential to be brutal...especially with no late-inning substitute. one of theriot or cedeno may have to go to make room for an extra OF. -
theriot's days as the late inning OF replacement need to be over.

who would you have hit there? that's the izturis we know and love. murton i don't see the point in that at all. murton over izturis? really? theriot already pinch hit, so he would go to short while murton would have moved to left for floyd, who theriot pinch hit for... give me murton everytime No. He would've pinch-hit Murton for DeRosa, and put Murton in LF and Theriot at 2B. i was saying there was no point in hitting murton for derosa.

DeRosa vs. RHP .260/.316/.366 Murton vs. RHP .289/.351/.436 Ward vs. RHP .267/.318/.457 ward's a double play waiting to happen and there's no sense in burning murton to ph for another righty when you may need him later.
