i can't get too mad at him...that's the hardest the cubs have hit a ball all day.

how did jones hit 27 homers last year? he looks like he has two broken arms when he swings.

am i ever going to find a huge crate of money or what? worth a shot.

he simply has no chance against lefties.

is that piece of [expletive] soriano ever going to hit another homerun or is he just going to end up with four? by the time he's 38, he should be good for a .700 OPS. i swear, every guy hill walks ends up scoring.

i swear, every time hill walks a guy or does something stupid, the guy ends up scoring

I'd be pissed if I was Zambrano because of how much I sucked today. Z gave up 13 hits. 13 hits!! Six of the seven runs he allowed were earned. Zambrano sucked today, plain and simple. At least half of those should have been outs. The defense was really bad. at least half? come on.

barrett just doesn't have the tempermant yet to handle things when they go the wrong direction. he is learing, but it's a process.

hendry doesn't have the ability to effectively blow it up. i almost don't want the cubs to trade any of their good players b/c i know hendry will [expletive] it up. i don't want a summer of maddux for izturis type trades.

down by three runs and he grounds into a double play on a 2-0 pitch. nice. all in all, i'd say that game went pretty well.

typical motherfin' cubs. suck for seven innings against davies only to have ramirez jack a meaningless homer against the bullpen. what a terrible, completely unlikeable team.

i've always disliked zambrano. now i dislike him even more.
  15. abuck1220
    who initiated it?
  16. abuck1220
In Z's defense, Barrett is a freaking comedy of mistakes right now. and z's a pitching machine right now. can't wait to get home and watch this on tivo.
  17. abuck1220
nice round whip of 3 for zambrano today.
  18. abuck1220
who likes money less -- andruw jones or zambrano?
  19. abuck1220
that players only meeting worked wonders.
  20. abuck1220
yeah, because zambrano has pitched so well today. 12 baserunners in 4+ innings...he really deserves a better fate.

I think they should go with Blanco and Soto, unless they can get rid of Blanco. Get your offense elsewhere. there's not enough positions on the field to make up offensively for having blanco catch every day. I wouldn't want him everyday. Ideally he'd be gone. But if he's here, he can backup a rookie. i see...i didn't realize you wanted soto as a starter.

it looks like it may be taking points away for hr's, but not singles, doubles, triples.

You're going to regret not trading me Fielder when you had the chance. yeah, i'm kicking myself. man, tim's closers get three saves with their teams nursing 4-5 run leads, and cordero has a chance to get one and the nats pile on five runs before he can get in. oh well, his one inning still got me a lot more points than verlander got tim.
