  1. Not really. He was out by about 10 feet. Wasn't even close. I don't really no what to say other than that you're completely wrong. His arm was extending to the base when he got tagged in the midsection. I had to look at the replay closely to make sure he wasn't actually safe. yeah, it was relatively close. Still. You learn in little league that you're not supposed to make the 3rd out in an inning trying to reach 3rd base. It's the mistakes like those that keep the Cubs from winning close games. the baserunning of pitchers who have just hit doubles is absolutely, 100% NOT the type of mistakes that keep the cubs from winning close games. So just because he's a pitcher he gets a pass when making a baserunning mistake? pretty much, yeah. if you want to see the type of mistakes that keep the cubs from winning close games, check out lee's crap at bat right there.

  3. hell, let him pitch the 8th. for the second straight year, rich hill is the only reason to watch this team.

  5. seriously, rich hill trying to stretch a double into a triple is the least of the cubs' concern. sit down, frenchy.
  6. and you've been attending the bruce vilanch school for comedy.
  7. i can't get too mad at him...that's the hardest the cubs have hit a ball all day. um... Soriano might have something to say about that. oops, forgot about that. hope hill isn't too gassed.
  8. and really, that's all you can hope for these days.

  10. how did jones hit 27 homers last year? he looks like he has two broken arms when he swings.
  11. am i ever going to find a huge crate of money or what? worth a shot.
  12. he simply has no chance against lefties.
  13. yeah, this place has been all sunshine and optimism lately. thank goodness you're here to bring everyone back down to earth.
  14. is that piece of [expletive] soriano ever going to hit another homerun or is he just going to end up with four? by the time he's 38, he should be good for a .700 OPS. i swear, every guy hill walks ends up scoring.
  15. i swear, every time hill walks a guy or does something stupid, the guy ends up scoring
  16. I'd be pissed if I was Zambrano because of how much I sucked today. Z gave up 13 hits. 13 hits!! Six of the seven runs he allowed were earned. Zambrano sucked today, plain and simple. At least half of those should have been outs. The defense was really bad. at least half? come on.
  17. barrett just doesn't have the tempermant yet to handle things when they go the wrong direction. he is learing, but it's a process.
  18. hendry doesn't have the ability to effectively blow it up. i almost don't want the cubs to trade any of their good players b/c i know hendry will [expletive] it up. i don't want a summer of maddux for izturis type trades.
  19. down by three runs and he grounds into a double play on a 2-0 pitch. nice. all in all, i'd say that game went pretty well.
  20. typical motherfin' cubs. suck for seven innings against davies only to have ramirez jack a meaningless homer against the bullpen. what a terrible, completely unlikeable team.
  21. i've always disliked zambrano. now i dislike him even more.
  22. In Z's defense, Barrett is a freaking comedy of mistakes right now. and z's a pitching machine right now. can't wait to get home and watch this on tivo.
