    i guess we'll just have to agree to disagree then. i'd rather have bedard over buehrle every day of the week. and if the dodgers give up that much for bedard, i'll eat poop.

    Buerhle could have gotten them 2-3 cornerstone prospects alone. that's insane. or you and i have different definitions of "cornerstone." May I suggest you look at some of the offers the Orioles are considering for Bedard and tell me the White Sox couldn't get the same offer (or better) for Buerhle. why would they get a better offer for buerhle? i haven't seen any offers for bedard that include 2-3 cornerstone prospects. feel free to throw a few at me.

    i guess i'm just not convinced that two extra games is some kind of tipping point where smashing into each other becomes overly dangerous. 13 games is ok, but 14-15 is too much?

    not if you cut out one game the top teams play against garbage teams. and if they didn't break for six weeks after the end of the regular season, they wouldn't have to play so late.

    i actually have a little more sympathy for the person he killed. though the saddened yankee fans are also in my prayers. oh, and i also feel terrible for leyritz, who was just out having fun and someone had to die and ruin it all. buzzkill, right?

    just because hendry pissed away that money on wade miller doesn't mean that's his true value. every team in baseball would rather have 2008 mark prior than 2007 wade miller.

    Sure there was, take him to arbitration. Give him a reasonable contract and extension. Those are two. Here's another, not treat him like a rented mule and then insinuate he's a [expletive] to anyone that will listen. i agree that the cubs treated him poorly during his time here, but it seems clear to me that he had no interest in accepting a reasonable contract offer from the cubs.
