i can't see why you'd be offended if someone assumed something really good about you if you think it's ok to automatically assign some trait to someone based solely on their race -- as long as it's something you deem to be "good" -- i don't know what else to tell you. to me, that's just as offensive as labeling someone with a bad trait based on their race. either way, you're making an assumption about somebody based on the color of their skin, which is just ignorant.
