that's a [expletive] reason not to respond to offers, in my opinion. and personally i think the players offered by raw and brian are probably better than what you gave up and certainly not so ridiculous to warrant being ignored.

yeah, i hope there's a draft pick in there. i don't know what magic button juan pushed to get that guy to respond to a trade offer, but congrats, i guess. jose tabata and andy laroche? really? and yeah, juan, i'm willing to give you much more than you gave up to get peavy.

The performance of Ludwick, Schumaker and Miles notwithstanding the key point is they're not pitchers, barring any trades the St. Louis staff is going to be their undoing. The bullpen is currently 24 of 30 in ERA, we've seen some of it and its not good, the starters are 9 of 30 in ERA - with the likes of Looper, Lohse, Piniero and Mitchell Boggs (who is 2-0 despite issuing more BB's than K's along with more hits than IP and 3 HR's in 16.1 IP!) - do you really believe this group is going to keep this up? They made Jeff Weaver into a stud. They can and will keep it up. just like they did last year. -
neither. cubs will take this by 10+ games.

young's been pretty terrible, and raw wasn't even playing him. great week for me...huge point total and an improbable come from behind win. neither team deserved to lose, that's for sure. and HBC's last second loss helped me out, as did nccub's. don't count the dynasty out just yet!

didn't really understand why raw only had to give up delmon young to get him, but he wanted prince fielder from me. oh well, i've got bigger problems than catcher...

the mariners are last in MLB in OPS vs. righties AND OPS on the road. the cubs are first in MLB in OPS vs. lefties AND OPS at home. so i'm clearly making the right choice to start campillo (a righty) against the mariners in atlanta and bench danks (a lefty) against the cubs at wrigley, right? i mean, it couldn't be any clearer...right?
