  1. by the way, the league wouldn't be so dramatic if a) people followed the rules and/or b) we didn't have needlessly complicated rules. don't blame the "drama" on the people who are like "hey, pretty sure eight man benches aren't allowed."
  2. and in my matchup, roadster had an oakland reliever in his lineup that he dropped after the game. that obv would have given him an advantage had the guy pitched. and, like GR said, keeping 8 guys on your bench prevents other teams from picking those guys up. if you start a thread titled "LEGAL ROSTERS BY 3/28," there absolutely has to be some type of penalty for not abiding by the rule. He scored zero points where is the advantage. If he scored a point then deduct it but I should not get penalized for the points gained by Hernandez, obviously nobody on your bench will score you points. that doesn't mean that having a seven man bench isn't an "advantage." the rule is rosters had to be legal before today. the most obvious penalty for failing to abide by this rule is to not get any points for a day your roster was illegal. i don't think that's overly harsh.
  3. agreed. 4 starts it is.

  5. here's how i think the various cluster fucks should be handled. 1) teams with illegal rosters don't get points scored from today's game and will continue to not get any points as long as their rosters remain illegal. 2) mooch has to drop the prospects he picked up, as the prospect draft was still going on. 3) mercy kill the prospect draft after round 3, then a free agent free for all. if a guy was SOOOOO important to you, you should have taken him in the first 3 rounds. 4) you get 6 hours to pick in the prospect draft, then you get skipped. 5) if you pick someone who has already been picked in the prospect draft, a) you're a dum dum b) the draft continues as though you had made a legit pick c) if you discover you flubbed up, you can pick at that point, obviously choosing from whatever's left when you figure out you're a dum dum.
  6. i'll do it.
  7. please let this be the last round.
  8. the prospect draft, for better or worse, is still clearly going on. good lord, this should be the last time we do this prospect draft thing. complete chaos. if people want to draft 19 year olds in the regular draft from now on, go nuts.
  9. Is the prospect's draft officially over? Bazingas picked up a couple of minor leaguers so is it ok to start picking up players??? yeah, don't know what's going on with that.
  10. it's not the mods' responsibility to make everyone's rosters legal.
  11. don't think you can put bailey in your lineup for this week, by the way.
  12. just taking a quick look at the rosters... RWD has a five man bench. HBC has a four man bench. kid rodelo has a seven man bench. tootielicious has a league record eight man bench. eyes of texas has cashner and tomlin on his DL. if they don't start the season on the DL (and i don't believe either is injured), he will/should lose both.
  13. i think the rule is, you can put them on the DL now, but if for some reason they don't start the season on the DL, you lose them.
  14. by the way, i'm going to need picks in rounds 3-20 in the prospect draft since we have unlimited benches this year.
  15. good start for rodelo and his 7 man bench. i assume all today's points will be taken away.
  16. has red auerbach's family requested that his corpse be re-animated so he could take the illinois job yet?
  17. it really makes no sense to allow teams to keep 8 friggin' guys on their bench up until the day before the season starts. those players could be picked up by other teams that are maintaining legal rosters.
  18. nothing
  19. yeah, especially when bruce weber own you I didn't realize the Drake job was open. so not even 2 weeks after norfolk state before you feel good enough about yourself to talk trash again. good for you. way to get back up and dust yourself off...shows resolve. I had to make sure to start off small, not go too high too soon. that's where mizzou went wrong against norfolk st.
  20. boy, i hope people really have their rosters legal by tomorrow at 5 a.m.
  21. That's not new. That was going on last year during the Painter debacle. It was going on with the Smart debacle, it's common now. It's still creepy. College sports fans are all closet stalkers agreed. you should stay out of the college basketball thread to save yourself from the filth.

  23. i'm assuming week 1 starts tomorrow and runs through 4/8. how many pitching starts are we getting? 4? 5?
  24. i think he means no trades until your roster is legal.
  25. oh that would be splendid.
