didn't realize i was up in the major league draft. the draft results i was looking at on IE while at work must have been behind or something. weird.

yes, all iowa needs is every good player they face to leave and every team they face to not have a good coach. that is a surefire recipe for a second consecutive NIT berth.

agreed (at least as it pertains to position players). the rules are what they are. once again, we're doing that thing where we have 5,000 exceptions to every rule. i don't care if you don't want to make bard a SP, but then you have to be allowed to use him as RP and get starts from him. otherwise, he's literally an unusable player for a month of the season and that would be nonsensical.

i don't like this rule (even though it benefits me due to trumbo moving to 3b and d wright possibly missing the beginning of the season). what if hanley plays 1 inning at 3b and then is moved back to ss when reyes breaks his leg in game 1 and is out for the year? is hanley still 3b eligible?

if white comes back they'll be a top 15 team next year. if uk just shoots 40% on 3s (instead of 50%) and iowa state shoots something moderately crappy like 25% on 3s (instead of the severely crappy 13% they did shoot), it would have been a pretty tight game. kentucky couldn't miss.

i didn't think i would care enough about some nobody, irrelevant mid-major to hate them, but i super hate creighton. as if their obnoxious fans weren't enough, they played like a dirty bunch of punks yesterday vs. carolina. i don't know if there's a player in basketball i hate more than gibbs (the guy who slapped henson's wrist, "drew" the technical, then winked at the creighton bench like a prep school bad guy from an 80s movie). and also this... http://deadspin.com/5894367/creightons-gregory-echenique-laid-a-massive-blast-on-uncs-tyler-zeller-the-refs-somehow-missed

So white has to come back next year right? Did I hear right he can't fly because of his anxiety attacks? That's gonna kill his NBA hopes if it's true. apparently he jumped up ford's draft board after last night's game (which i think is a little stupid...one good game against kentucky jumps you up a whole round?). he (as far as i know) flew to every road game this year. for some reason he didn't fly to louisville. of course, the fact that he didn't fly to the tourney game is getting lots of press...he picked a bad time to decide not a fly to a road game. ford said if he didn't have an issue with flying, he'd jump up another 20 spots.

goodness gracious, kentucky could not effing miss and iowa state could not hit a 3. worst case scenario for iowa state...white had breakout game and they lost.

i kinda want indiana to win tonight so i'm not tortured by the fact that isu (had they somehow been able to beat kentucky) would have only needed to go through a bunch of double digits seeds and a baylor team they already beat to get to the freaking final four.
