  1. don't know why, but i'm annoyed by all kentucky's goofy looking bench warming white guys/walk ons.
  2. let's get this settled right now. last year, the rule was the first time you went over your 7 starts, the start that occurred last in time was erased. on your second offense, your best start was erased. is that what we're going with this year? my preference would be to just take away the best start on your first offense. for one, it's hard to keep track of who has how many offenses. two, taking away the last in time start could actually benefit the person who went over.
  3. i don't know that gottlieb would want to be an assistant or that weber would want to hire an assistant that was openly/pathetically begging for the job.
  4. gottlieb's public begging for the job was just odd/pathetic. he was on a KC station last week basically bragging about how great he would be, how hiring him would bring a buzz to the program, naming guys he'd hire on his staff, etc. what a weird story.
  5. ouch. that hurts.
  6. yes yes yes
  7. um...yes? obviously. Does this mean Notre Dame is not an elite football school anymore? didn't say it was the only factor. but i'm certainly far from a ND supporter.
  8. um...yes? obviously.
  9. How? I think its a top 15 program. Even if all of the teams on abucks list were better than us. That still puts us at 15. I mean sure his list is awful, he didn't include Indiana in it, but even using it we are right at 15. FINE, i'll add indiana to my list. happy? No, I think by leaving Indiana off you really showed your college basketball knowledge. and this discussion has shown yours.

Clearly the job isn't that great otherwise they wouldn't have crapped the bed on the coaching search, but you keep changing conversations between historical rankings, current ratings and how good the job is. THANK YOU

  12. WHAT IS YOUR CRITERIA, LOONEY TUNES
  13. We were ranked the number 6 program all time by the Saragin ratings. So good. so when you hired your most recent coach, you got the sixth best coach in the nation, right? Kentucky was the 75th best program in the country in 2007. let's hear your criteria for what makes a good job too, while we're at it.
  14. Lol, now you don't get the criteria for being a better job? no, i don't get your criteria for what makes a better job.
  15. will one of you insane illini fans please lay out your criteria?
  16. We were ranked the number 6 program all time by the Saragin ratings. So good. stay on task please.

  18. I like your list a lot better. But, I'd argue that UCONN s Calhoun and will fall apart fast after he is gone as it doesn't have a huge recruiting base nearby. I also don't think that Georgetown is a better job either. But, at least you listed Indiana. UConn will be fine. What is it, 2 hours from NYC and a half hour from ESPN? UConn is adopted by NY when it wins, but is largely ignored for the most part. Kind of like Illinois and Chicago's relationship? yeah, how's that working out for you.
  19. how about instead of asking me to say why final-four bound, flush-with-cash, rick-pitino-employing, 6th-most-final-fours-of-all-time, two-time-national-champion louisville is a better job than illinois, why don't you guys tell me what illinois has over louisville.
  20. That's only 14. he originally asked for 10.
  21. seriously? well, for one, rick pitino is the coach of final four bound louisville. some guy nobody has heard of is the coach of illinois.
  22. i'm not going to debate this with you on a program by program basis. if illinois was truly a top 10 job, people would have been falling all over themselves to get the job. that wasn't the case. the end.
