i can't believe there are people defending rome by claiming that was a legit question. give me a break. "hey commissioner, did you engage in maybe the biggest sports fraud/crime/scam of all time so that the league could profit directly from getting the hornets the #1 pick? HEY PEOPLE WANT TO KNOW?"

by the way, i guess that worked out pretty well since i'm in first place. You seem to have recovered quickly from abuck's beatdown. lol, however...you had to know this was coming. so, in conclusion, please don't provoke a) tim into talking about his rebuilding efforts or b) truffle into whining about the most injury depleted, unlucky team in fantasy baseball history (that has the best record in the league despite having the 8th most points in the league...oh the humanity!).

dear lord, i thought truffle bragging about his rebuilding process last year was insufferable. i have a feeling i'm going to know way more than i should about trout and bauer by the end of this season...

heyman was just on mlb network saying that castro could be traded since he's going to get expensive soon and that might not fit into the cubs' plans. i'm sorry, but if the cubs can't afford castro by the time he gets "expensive," ricketts must have had one hell of a drunken day at the track or something. i better never see the day where the cubs are dumping guys before they hit free agency because their arb years get too pricey. get real.

lot going on lately and i hate to make it worse, but i noticed bazingas picked up this guy off waivers. i picked him in the prospect draft, but apparently failed to add him to my roster (even though i added all my other picks). if my penalty for being stupid and not adding him is that i lose him, i suppose that's fair.

and i don't really know why/what you're griping about...you got trout and bauer (two players way better than the prospects the new guy just got) for two players much worse than price + miggy.

if we started a thread about every negligent manager that failed to use seven starts, that's all this forum would be. in fact, there are multiple teams that won't be using seven starts this week. MR has been one of the most active managers in the league this year. i'm just grateful he was willing to step in and take over the absolute shittiest team this league has ever seen. he's won more games and scored more points than tim...that's enough for me to be satisfied with the effort he's putting forth. and damn am i already sick of hearing about the stupid #1 pick in a draft that is 9 months away.

so if it's announced at noon that a guy is coming off the DL that day and you don't realize it until after the games start that day, you shouldn't get any points because your roster was technically illegal? there has to be some grace period to get someone off the DL.

again, not getting a DL'ed guy back in the lineup the minute he gets activated is worlds different than "i just added 2 guys and dropped 1 oops i didn't realize my lineup was illegal." i don't really know how that ever happens.

But you could always make mid-week changes if it involved injury or trade. We make mid-week changes when someone goes ON the DL. Why not when someone comes off? i dunno...i've always operated under the assumption that if a guy comes off the DL mid-week you have until the next week to do something about it. you might need to completely overhaul your roster when you bring a guy off the DL, and that could involve dropping/adding/making lineup subs that aren't directly related to the injured guy. i don't think you should be able to use a guy coming off the DL as a reason to completely revamp your lineup mid-week. you could really use that to add at-bats/games or get rid of a guy who is sucking/not playing much. i don't think there's anything wrong with waiting until monday to take a guy off the DL. i benched freeman yesterday because of some finger injury. he's back in the lineup today...am i in trouble for failing to get him back in there right away? i don't think we've ever played that way.

there's a difference between a guy that is off the DL remaining on your DL for an extra day and friggin' picking up 2 players and dropping 1. i mean, come on.

i always thought you got until the next week to get someone off the DL. otherwise you could be making other roster moves that effect your lineup and are thus making mid-week roster changes.
