  1. It just seems like Brenley talks a heck of a lot and Len just listens and adds to it. Then again I don't have cable or satellite and havent gotten to see a game since like may
  2. I didn't realize Len talks more than Brenley.
  3. Maybe i'm missing something, but if you feel that Theriot is truly a "terrible" or even significantly below average defender, then why would you point to the fact that multiple systems of defensive analysis which use multiple different methods of analysis all consistently come to the conclusion that Theriot lies between slightly below to slightly above average. Since several methods lie within a range higher than yours as to his ability, what do you mean by pointing it out? Are you changing your mind or am I missing part of your argument/opinion? FWIW: Everyone knows I am a Theriot fan and based on what I see from him and what MULTIPLE metrics say, and partly due to bias, it is my belief that Theriot is an average defensive shortstop, no more no less.
  4. Playoffs, I dont want to... you get the point. There's no chance
  5. Looks my game thread days are over for this year
  6. So the Cubs win when I'm not able to watch the game, meaning I won't watch tommorow as the CUBS and this rookie out of nowhere http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g7/nikkoaz/wells.jpg Randy Wells 8-4 2.73 ERA, 1.143 WHIP, 161 ERA+ take on this clown http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g7/nikkoaz/hammel.jpg Jason Hammel 6-6 4.62 ERA, 1.486 WHIP, 98 ERA+ Just for good luck http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g7/nikkoaz/i_has_a_bucket.jpg
  7. After personally witnessing a travesty tonight, tommorow the CUBS and This cute blonde chick http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g7/nikkoaz/dempster.jpg Ryan Dempster 5-5, 4.09 ERA, 1.38 WHIP seek revenge on the Rockies and this guy no one here would recognize http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g7/nikkoaz/marquis.jpg Jason Marquis 12-7 3.49 ERA, 1.25 WHIP Avenge my having to sit through the last game, GO CUBS!!
  8. I almost died of boredom while there this summer. I personally don't recommend it.
  9. I'll be there on the 7th and in the pavilion (left/center field)
  10. in 1960 he threw 170 innings, gave up 105 hits, had 262 k's, and 262 bb's. He also went 7-15 with a 5.14 era That means he walked and struck out 1.5 hitters per inning also meaning that the only that matched his legendary arm was legendary wildness
  11. I would drop to the ground and cry like a baby if I ever saw him throw a slider inside.
  12. How am I the only one to pick Dalkowski? It's estimated he might have touched 110 and he had like zero control
  13. Last year I played second base and moved around the infield. This coming year I do plan to pitch, mainly because I don't hit well enough to make varsity as a position player but alot of people think I could throw 75, which is actually fast for Bennett.
  14. So if you had to face any pitcher, MLB or MiLB, who would you hate to face? Out of fear of embarrassment or fear of the ball etc... I would pick Stephen Dalkowski in his prime.
  15. I think there probably is. Say what you will, if I get to warm up against mid-90's pitches, and the pitcher then throws me laser straight 100 mph fastballs right down the middle (which would never happen in game action anyway), and I know they're coming and where they'll be, I'll get around on one. I faced guys who threw in the 90's in HS, and for chuckles we used to crank the pinching machine to max velo (which was mid-90's) and ofter a couple of minutes you could time that. And I wasn't even a good hitter. I don't care how hard you throw, if it has no movement, you can't paint the corners with it and you have no other pitches to mix in, you'll get hit, even by mediocre hitters. This is very true, but being that stepping in against a major league pitcher at all is almost a once in a lifetime opportunity I'd pick someone like Marshall just so I could get to see the sweeping curve. And if he throws a fastball I think I can hit it at 88 MPH.
  16. Bergy, Kroth, I'll be at at least one of the games and ive gone every year since Ive lived in CO. First of all, like others said there's bar all around the park but of course I couldn't tell you about em. Coors is a real nice place to watch a game though, if you hadn't already had your tickets id recommend the pavilion (outfield). Its fairly cheap and provides a good view and that's where the homeruns are obviously hit. I really don't know where to get autographs, I've tried and I'm always unsuccessful. Lastly, I would take a trip to Red Rocks if you're going to be there any extra time.
  17. I personally don't care much for most sub places anymore, and I really don't care much for subs. But there was a deli where I used to live in New Jersey called Lenny's Meat Market. Used to pile on the meat and any kind of cheese or condiment. Prices were very reasonable and tasted excellent. As for the popular Subway: I need a microscope just to see the meat on their subs and theyve gotten way too expensive. Easily my least favorite place for subs and one of my least favorite places to eat period.
  18. Ridiculous! I can't watch this game on CSN or FSN FL. Nor is it offered today in extra innings. Somehow I am being blacked out of a Chicago game while living in Colorado.
  19. I guess the Giants are up so, the Giants select wide-reciever Heyward-Bey.
  20. Fontenot because I think he has a good chance of doing it.
  21. There's gotta be something wrong with Harden if he never touched 90 today. He threw 96 last year.
