    Are you telling me he was only 40 minutes away all winter long? I would have loved to take a trip to red rocks to see him, maybe get an autograph when he was done.

    I don't drink coffee everday nor do I need it. However on a cold morning where maybe you missed 2-4 hours of sleep, it's amazing what one cup can do.

    I think this is most likely.In all seriousness, as previously stated, Marshall has something to prove and I think he will. If his bender is under control like I think it will. I'll say 7 innings with 1-3 runs. Marmol and Wood to follow. Cubs win 8-3. Marshall will be on a 5 inning/80 pitch limit, so I really doubt you'll be right. Couldn't we throw someone out there with a longer leash? Isn't this Dempster's scheduled day to start anyway? If that's the case and what you said is true, Piniella isn't making much sense. Dempster isn't starting because he's tending to personal business. Shark would be on a similar pitch count, so no, unless we made a roster move and brought up someone from AAA, anyone we would use would have a limited PC. I really hate limited pitch counts, darn Dempster and his personal issues. I would venture Marshall or Shark would have a higher pitch count in they pitched Sunday.

    I just threw up a little bit in my mouth. Who doesn't like a healthy smoothie loaded with chocolate and bananas? A smoothie with Chocolate and bananas sounds great, it's the skim milk and fat free ice cream that threw me for a loop. Stuff is horrible and tastes nothing like the real stuff.

    coffee? aren't you in HS? If you need coffee to get you through HS, real life is going to suck something awful for you. Maybe I worded that wrong, I had a cup of coffee in the morning and I felt good all day. Just for the record, at least half the kids in high school drink coffee and the other half drink energy drinks.

    I wound up sleeping in and then on the next day, which was the first day of school, I had a nice cup of Coffee to keep me going :D

    This isn't a problem with posting but I just got a General Error SQL error twice before i could use NSBB.

    Pretty simple question. Tommorow is my last week day to sleep in with school starting Thursday. So do I take advantage of the chance to sleep in one more time? Or, should I wake when I usually would which is 6 (so as to be ready on Thursday morning)?

    Thank you for a good morning laugh to take my mind off how rapidly approaching school is. No kidding it feels like I just got home from school last week. It just seems like whenever the Cubs are winning the summer flies by. Lets get a win today. Harden goes 7, strikes out 8. Fukudome gets 2 RBI, and the Cubs win 5-2. Now there's a bold prediction. I'd love to see it but I won't hold my breath.

    It would be nice to sign him to a one year deal and be willing to cut loose if it doesn't work out next year. Other wise, we thank him very much for his help in making the Cubs 2008 World Series Champions.

    woo Rich Harden on tv, I have only got to see one of his starts before this. I'll say 2-0, Edmonds hits a two run bomb and Harden pitches 7 striking out 11.

    When has Marmol ever reached 98. I have seen him hit 95 and 96 consistently, I've never seen 97 or higher.

    I do not think they need to do much big splashing this season, as long as Dempster and Harden are Cubs i don't care, I really don't think that Kerry Wood is all that important to resign, though I would definitely prefer it.

    My biggest hope is the resigning of Dempster and picking up the option on Harden. I think Harden, Z, Demp is a super rotation no matter who your 4,5 are. Can you imagine the rotation for a whole season: Harden Zambrano Dempster any 2 of (Marshall, Hill, Lilly, Marquis) Maybe shark or Gaudin
