  1. You couldn't possibly be more wrong. and you couldn't possibly be more wrong about sending home a runner home with no outs, the middle of the lineup coming up, and down three runs. The LF was conceiving the run. It was an easy call. Luckily Fukudome at least got one run in, but that could have easily turned in to no runs. When you are down three you need to get every run you can. true. you need three runs, in fact! So because you need 3 runs, you should not take 1 that is being given to you? I dont get it. If the LF is charging the ball hard to make a throw to the plate, then I agree, don't risk it. But he was giving you the run. Take it when you can, because you never know what will happen. I'm done talking about this. Soto and Cedeno have cannons.

  3. The LFer was barely deeper than the SS when he picked it up. Moises Alou throws him out at home in that situation. And we're down three with the heart of the order coming up. NO reason to EVER send him unless the outfielder literally falls down before the ball gets to him. He was at least 20-30 feet from the edge of the infield. He also wasn't even charging the ball hard. He was flat footed waiting for the ball when he picked it up. There definitely wouldn't have even been a throw to the plate. It turned out to not matter, but with the way DLee has been hitting the past few days there's no guarantee that you are going to get runs in that situation.
  4. Quade needs to go. Cedeno was around 3rd before the LF even got to the ball. This is happening way too much.
  5. I hope Lou does one of his pointless (although this time there would be a point) double switches and leaves Cedeno in at SS and takes out Theriot.
  6. Damn you Soriano! Pathetic single. All you're doing is setting up the 5-4-3 tripple play.
  7. I don't think a good route or a healthy Soriano was getting that one. You didn't get the memo that it's cool to bash Soriano for everything humanly possible?
  8. Lee has looked pretty bad tonight with theriot on base. Although I don't judge Lee's ability to hit (particularly with runners on) by one game. That said, I think it has been shown that lineup order does not affect total run production all that much. And the most runs are predicted by a lineup which has the best hitter batting first, second best hitting second, etc. so that the better hitters get more ABs over the course of a season.
  9. Because everyone else who has looked at the reply disagrees with you. Why do you keep going on about this? It's kinda creepy.
  10. The throw beat him by a mile. He's not fast and he really hasn't shown that he's a good base-stealer. Great he was safe though so how are you answering my post again? He was out. The tag was high, but it was still put on before Theriot's midget leg reached the bag.
  11. I just watched the replay and have no idea what you are talking about.
  12. Wow. What a great question. I was wondering when someone was FINALLY gonna ask Lou that question.
  13. It is true, though. No hist Sherlock. They are here too. I guess we have different definitions of astronomical. Soriano playing LF makes me lol I think he is amazing here, and would be better there. But, it wasn't like Joe was on to something that none of us don't already know. Yeah i know. I try to ignore how either blatantly obvious or blatantly wrong everything that comes out of his mouth is.

  15. I love DLee. I almost wanted Marquis to walk a run in only to show how idiotic it is that Hill is in Iowa.
  16. Please continue to talk crap about him. Hopefully he'll shut you up again. He'll do his usual 1 good AB where he hits a HR, then strike out on 7 total pitches in his next 3 ABs. I'm really tired of watching him swing at everything. He watched 2 pitches for strikes. And swung at the worst pitch of that at-bat. That likely would have been a called 3rd strike. Seriously...what the hell do you people want? He tried working the count and taking the first pitch and taking a close called strike on the corner for strike 2. Give the man a [expletive] break. Umm, that 3rd pitch was nowhere near the strike zone. Are you serious? It was a borderline high strike.
