  1. And because of Bosh's great defensive play.
  2. Bulls are pretty good at winning basketball games, but ok.
  3. Well this is not what I was expecting.
  4. Looks like D really did add a consistent 3 point shot to his arsenal. I was worried about him losing elevation when he gets a little tired late in the game after playing 30+ minutes. Just knocked down 2 with under 2 minutes left in the game after playing 34 minutes. Still turning the ball over too much, but I can live with that if he's going to shoot anywhere near this efficiently.
  5. For some reason I don't remember Dunleavy looking this unathletic.
  6. I almost want Boozer off the team because I am so tired of defending his worth to my meatball friends. It's almost as annoying as arguing with them about the Cubs future/Theo & company. I need better friends.
  7. Thompkins or Hartline? 1/2ppr. My fantasy guru says Hartline but I'm leaving Thompkins
  8. When was the last game he started? At least he struck our 8 and only gave up 2 hits.
  9. You should read threads before posting in them.
  10. The Cavs have a chance, it's not huge, but they have one. Kyrie has the ability to be a top 5 player in the league and if Bynum is healthy they could challenge the Bulls, lots of ifs but they could be there all season. And the Pacers absolutely have a chance of keeping up, regardless of Thibs or Rose. They made some excellent moves to improve their depth and their starting lineup can go blow for blow with the Bulls all day. I don't see it with the Cavs. They'll be good this year, but even with a healthy Bynum (which won't happen) they're still a couple players away from keeping up with the Bulls and Pacers. And the Pacers are going to be damn good, but if Rose is healthy and himself the Bulls are going to win 60+ games. As good and deep as the Pacers are, I just don't see them winning that many games. This really isn't me putting down the Cavs or Pacers. I just think the Bulls are going to be really, really good this year (once again, if Derrick is healthy and himself).
  11. What?? The Cavs have absolutely no chance of beating the Bulls and Pacers for the division. It is clearly a 2 team race. And if Derrick is fully healthy all season I dont think the Pacer have much of a chance of keeping up with Thibs.
  12. No defense? I didn't get that at all. There were a lot of guys that played poor defense, but I doubt it was because they weren't trying or because they were treating it like an all star game. The majority of these guys are trying to grab a vet min contract from an NBA team and this is their best opportunity to showcase their game. And I guess we always knew Teague could break down his man, but I was just more impressed with what he was doing after he did that. Got a lot of good chances for his teammates (whoR usually failed to finish) and didn't turn the ball over. Teague is going to have to play this year. Kirk won't stay healthy and Derrick isn't playing 48 minutes a night.
  13. I know it's a summer league game, but Teague really impressed me. He needs to still add strength, work on his jumper, and do a better job of finishing around the basket but he was able to take his man off the dribble whenever he wanted to. He has so much quickness and his handles were much improved from last year. He made some nice passes as well. I hope we give Goudelock a contract if Nate decides to go elsewhere.
  14. Any interest in Mo Williams? Or Will Bynum? Really don't see any need for Bynum as he can't shoot. Williams is a 38% 3 point shooter who can handle and create. Wouldn't mind going small and seeing Mo, Rose, Butler, Deng, Noah play together. I really wish we didn't have Kirk signed for this year.
  15. How does Brooklyn have the space to sign Korver?
  16. Yes. I know a lot of fans think the Bulls should trade the pick--and they can if they get good value, but some people are fine trading it for average players that won't change anything. I am completely fine waiting this thing out with the confidence that the Bobcats will continue to be terrible and hoping for a top pick in the future. That is the the kind of thing that can completely change a franchise... not some trade for Jason Thompson. You have to like what the Nets have done in 2-3 seasons. I think the finish above Chicago this year No way they stay healthy. It will be very interesting to watch. This just feels like a poor man's 2012-13 Lakers.
  17. All mocks had him late 1st/early 2nd, no? I don't worry too much once you get that far into the draft - you're just hoping for role players. As you mentioned, Gibson and Butler turned out well...and Gibson in particular was considered a reach. Yeah, agreed. Guys who can defend and hit 3s are very valuable right now. Snell looks like he may be able to do both at an above average level in the NBA. For the record I would have gone Dieng if the choice were up to me.
  18. What's the scouting report on Jokisch? The K/9 and K/BB don't look terrible.
  19. And there were guys I preferred over Noah in 2007, guys I preferred over Taj in 2009, and guys I preferred over Mirotic and Butler in 2011. Ill put my trust in Forman/Paxson when it comes to the draft and take a wait and see approach.
  20. All mocks had him late 1st/early 2nd, no?
  21. http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/228412/Nets-Talking-Trade-With-Celtics-For-Garnett-Pierce Williams/Johnson/Pierce/Garnett/Lopez would be a pretty solid starting 5 for the next year or 2 (if they can all stay healthy).
  22. I'm assuming Taj would have to be included as well to make money match. Rose/Hinrich Belineli/Hinrich Deng LA/?/Thomas Noah/? Doesn't seem like it improves us that much and trades away all our assets. I think I'd stand pat and hope Love opts out unless something else comes up that improves us more drastically. And I dont think the Blazers do this deal anyway.
  23. I'm on board. Mostly due to our lack of quality pitching prospects.
  24. More than Wade, Chalmers and Battier? Because those three are the worst. 1. Wade 2. Chalmers 3. Bosh 4. Anderson 5. Battier 6. Allen For me But I used to kind of like Anderson when he was on Denver.
