  1. I'm pretty sure he'd come cheap, so why not take a shot? He'd be a true difference maker if he can stay somewhat healthy. We're not going to have the resources to sign anyone substantial, so why not take the gamble? Not that I know what Roy or anyone else are going to command in FA, but I'd rather take a shot on him being able to come back and contribute rather than give 2-3 times as much money (and more years) to a guy like Nick Young.
  2. Would anyone be interested in Brandon Roy on a cheap 1 year deal? Perhaps with an option for a 2nd year? I think him and Rip would be a great tandem. You can limit both of their minutes and play them together as Roy can play some point.
  3. You don't think Miami has a chance to win one game on their home court? It was an exaggeration of sorts. I would guess the Thunder take 2/3 in Miami, though, and really wouldn't be terribly surprised to see them take all 3. HCA is big, but I just think OKC is a superior team. Durant, Westbook, and Harden can't be stopped off the dribble. They just need to be aggressive and attack from the beginning and not wait until they're down by double digits.
  4. Heat played about as good as they're going to play, and OKC played about as bad as they could play for the first 40 minutes of the game and the Heat/refs still barely won. This game doesn't change the fact that the Thunder are the far superior team. The Heat will be lucky to see a game 6. Then again, a fitting end to this miserable season would probably conclude with a Heat championship...
  5. **disclaimer** very little research went into the following statement I believe only two of those guys were acquired after Epstein was hired to be the GM (Papelbon and Pedroia). Doesn't mean that Theo didn't indirectly have a part in their development.
  6. I like this post. "Weird how irritated or angry some of you are, even when your team is doing well. Me, I have my White Russian and my good friend, Liz. Listening to Miles Davis. Her Siberian Husky just threw up and she was in convulsions laughing at him. Earlier we were walking around, pointing out different strangers, guessing what they sounded like during sex."
  7. Punted meaning drafted with no intention of signing them? Blackburn is going to be a tough sign, so maybe. I wouldn't mind getting pick #57 next year. Really wish we would have gotten Weickel.
  8. It's not just NSBB. But it's pretty hilarious how meatball-y NSBB gets when it comes to Lebron.. How meatball-y NSBB gets? I was the only one who made any type of meatball-y comment and it was pretty much tounge in cheek. The only thing I have left is to root against the Heat.
  9. thought that one was going in for sure
  10. Make a decent pass then. Or back the smaller defender down in the post. Or don't dribble directly into the help defense. There were about 20 better things he could have done with that play. that's fine, but to rip on him purely because "he didn't have the balls" to take the final shot is meatballin' stupid. But it's the only way I can get enjoyment out of the NBA playoffs since Derrick's knee exploded.
  11. Make a decent pass then. Or pass to the open man (Battier). Or back the smaller defender down in the post. Or just don't dribble directly into the help defense. There were about 20 better things he could have done with that play.
  12. Of course. He hit a wide open shot when Boston had a miscommunication and then once again punked out on the final shot.
  13. Wowwwwwwwwwww. F this
  14. Has LeBron EVER fouled out of a game before? We may have history in the making.
  15. Does Garnett ever make a long jumper?
  16. I think Jason Kidd is just about done. Sign me up for Steve Nash, though.
  17. I'm excited to see JB play. He looked to already be above average defensively and a pretty good rebounder. His offense is lacking, but he's replacing Ronnie Brewer. The offense is obviously going to be hard to come by with 2 of our top 3 scorers out, but they'll be back for the playoffs. I'd be ecstatic if we could land Andre Miller but I don't know how realistic that is. He played a lot of 2 guard along side Ty Lawson this year and would be a good compliment to Rose once he returns. Guard rotation of Rose, Miller, and Rip in the playoffs sounds very good to me.
  18. Almost definitely at least one, and probably two, of Brewer, Watson, and Korver will be gone before the season starts. And I don't necessarily think that's a bad thing. We know what those guys do in the playoffs when it really matters, and when the playoffs roll around depth means a lot less than it does in the regular season. I just renewed my season tickets as well. It's going to be tough to get rid of some of those early season games.
  19. How many technicals can you pick up in the playoffs before receiving a suspension?
  20. I think that's what pisses me off most. Well never get to know if the 2012 Bulls at full strength could have beaten the Heat. I think it's ludicrous to say they had no shot based off of last year. First of all, they played a pretty competitive series with Rose and Noah nowhere near 100% and Asik out. Add to that the addition of Rip and subtraction of Bogans and you might be able to beat the Heat. Oh well.
  21. Lt Deng for the win
  22. This is freakin ridiculous. Get Taj out of the damn game.
  23. I understand how it's tough to play him when you're struggling so bad to score the ball. But it's not like Korver can do much offensively when he has a man glued to him all game. Might as well go with Brewer who can create turnovers, which can lead to easy buckets.
