  1. In a PPR it's a coin-flip so id personally go with the Bears player. He should be able to make up the TD difference with receptions.
  2. He'll surely be gone by the 12th pick. But thats ok. I should be good enough at RB with Stacy, Ellington, and possibly Bernard. I can go back to back stud WRs in rounds 1/2 and have a pretty complete team. I'd love it if Graham fell to #12, but I don't see that happening.
  3. Stacy & Ellington are the easy ones for me. I'm a big believer in keeping my high picks in a keeper league unless we are talking an absolute stud but I don't think Lacy fits that. A 2nd rounder is going to be very valuable to you and who knows what options may be there. Start with 2 solid RB's in Stacy and Ellington and then the options are wide open at you're first 2 picks. Bernard would probably be my choice C. Thanks...that's what I was thinking. Just wasn't sure if throwing a top 5 RB back into the pool was a smart move when I can keep him for a 2nd rounder. I'm picking 12th this year since I won it all last year. It's a snake draft, so that means the pick would be 13th overall, which makes him even less of a value.
  4. Rank these keeper options please, taking into account the round of pick I must forfeit to keep them. Every year goes up by 2 rounds. Zac Stacy - 11th round Andre Ellington - 11th round Gio Benard - 4th round Eddie Lacy- 2nd round Nick Foles - 11th round If I keep 2 11th round players one will be kept as a 10th rounder. I can keep 2-3 of these guys.
  5. Lets say in some incredibly lucky world we strike gold and Alcantara, Soler, Baez, Bryant, and Russell all become major producers at the MLB level plus continued production out of Rizzo & Castro. That is just an insane scenario to build a team around, everyone young, home grown and on either rookie or cost effective contracts. That leaves tons of money to throw at starting pitching and the bullpen. We don't need to spend on the bullpen either. Just sign all these dudes to long-term cost effective contracts, spend the remaining money on starting pitchers, and be a WS contender for the next 10+ years. Even if half these guys are misses, were still in great shape.
  6. idiotic, wouldnt it have been mutually beneficial for the lakers to have accepted him in a S+T for Gasol? unless i'm missing something in terms of scenarios linked with other moves, isn't it better for LA to pay him less? From LAs perspective it's a large expiring and the Bulls probably would have thrown an asset in to get the deal done. Then again all that would have done is given the bulls the ability to use the MLE and LLE. The MLE would have gone to mirotic and the LLE would have gone to Hinrich, but I think they would have had another exemption they could have used in that scenario Would Gasol's contract have been different if we did a S&T? If not, we still would have had cap space to sign Mirotic and then the MLE to grab another wing. It also would have created a TPE that we could have used to acquire another player.
  7. I'm hopeful for McDermott but Korver would absolutely torch the summer league. Based on summer league we had our two playmaking ball handlers in Goudelock and Teague. The summer league means less than nothing. Isn't McDermott 6'5? Who is he gonna post up? And seriously he's gonna be a catch and shoot guy why do people expect him to better than Kyle Korver? He's 6'8"-6'9" This. And he doesn't need to be posting up smaller guys since he has that fade away. I don't expect him to be a superstar, but he's going to be better, and able to score in more ways, than Kyle Korver.
  8. idiotic, wouldnt it have been mutually beneficial for the lakers to have accepted him in a S+T for Gasol? unless i'm missing something in terms of scenarios linked with other moves, isn't it better for LA to pay him less? They would have been able to use the MLE? I don't know how much cap space they had. But if their cap space was less, that could be one reason along with whatever sweeteners we were offering.
  9. Nvm Stuckey to the Pacers. My next choices would be Jameer Nelson, Aaron Brooks, Mo Williams, or Ramon Sessions. We need another PG.
  10. Just watched the SL game against the TWolves. I'm convinced. McDirty is going to be a player in this league. He's got such a quick, effortless stroke with a ton of range. A lot like Korver, except he can also put the ball on the floor, finish near the basket in traffic, post up smaller defenders, and simply not [expletive] himself when pressured with the ball in his hands. Very excited for the season. Let's find a way to S+T for Stuckey and get a Stuckey/Snell/McD/Mirotic/Gibson 2nd unit out there.
  11. Charlotte lacks the shooting to really be a contender, but they should have a great regular season and then maybe win a game or 2 in the 1st round. Things are definitely looking up for them. I also wouldn't include Toronto as a legit contender. It's really Cavs or Bulls for me, with Indiana and Miami having an outside chance and Washington sort of being in the discussion. Tier 1: Bulls, Cavs Tier 2: Pacers, Heat, Wizards Tier 3: Raptors, Hornets
  12. I think it could be good enough, but it's not that dissimiliar from the teams we've seen not win in recent years. Rose playing anywhere near 82 games would help immensely, but I would have liked to seen just a different look. I would have liked to see a better backup PG. And definitely needed 1 more shot creator. The Bulls could win with a Spurs like approach, as they now have enough passing, shooting, and versatility, but they don't have that Ginobili or Leonard who can create a shot along with the PG. I don't know how feasible it would have been, but I would have given Hinrich's money to Augustin, since that's all it took. And I would have cleared room with Dunleavy, Randolph, and Butler if I had to and gone after a shooter, who could create. I'd had even taken Paul Pierce on the deal he got, and those moves would have created enough space for that. Rose/DJ Pierce/Snell McDermott/Mirotic Gasol/Gibson Noah/Vet Min Meh on Paul Pierce. Think I like JB better. Pierce would have been fine as a 3 next to Butler, but not too fond of having Pierce or McDermott guarding LeBron, George, Wade, etc.
  13. I can't say definitely. The Cavs, Indiana, and Washington are in the picture. And don't count out Miami. If Love doesn't go to Cleveland, there are 5 teams that have a legit shot to make the finals.
  14. Pretty much everyone other than Rose and Hinrich are on a value contract. We should be able to make some trades if someone worth getting becomes available. Have the terms of the Gasol deal been released?
  15. 3 years! Yes! Full bird rights. Learned our mistake from Asik?
  16. Jimmer re-signed?
  17. Seriously? [expletive]! I was backing GarPax through the Pau signing, but this is just stupid. Very stupid.
  18. Worst part of all this is Afflalo would have fit great here.
  19. Some details coming out now for a Melo deal with the Bulls. 4 year deal around $17M starting with ETO after year 2. Thought being he opts out after year 2 and signs a max. Still has protection incase of injury. This is what I always thought made the most sense if Melo is so concerned over money. Sign. Me. Up.
  20. MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!
  21. Wouldn't Wiggins have to go to get Love? Yeah, rumor is Wiggins + for Love. Also, there are rumors that LeBron has reached out to Ray Allen and Mike Miller to join him wherever he goes if he leaves Miami. Not sure how that works money wise in Cleveland though. I thought Miller agreed to sign with the Nuggets? Allen would be a lock to Cleveland if LeBron goes there.
  22. Wouldn't Wiggins have to go to get Love? All the rumors I heard had Wiggins, Waiters, 2015 pick, and a couple other guys I didn't care about. They'd have to match salary as LeBron would put them at the cap. They don't have any TPEs do they? And the TWolves aren't doing a deal without Wiggins included.
  23. Pretty good defensive team potentially with Stephenson and Butler at the 2-3. Deep with Taj, Noah, Mirotic, and Gasol for the 4-5. But that team isn't good enough to beat Lebron and Love added to the current Cleveland team. And after all, the rumor is IF Lebron, then Love to Cleveland. Kyrie ? LeBron Love Varejo That's not a bad start, but I don't think it's a slam dunk to make the finals. Give them a year or 2 to add pieces, and nobody will touch them. But in year 1, I don't think I'd say they'll win the East for sure. They'd probably be the favorites, unless the Bulls do something big though.
  24. Is there enough money to add Pau, Stephenson, and Mirotic? I think so. I don't understand these things but I've read that it's possible to do a pau sign and trade for boozer, use the MLE on Mirotic, use something called a BAE to bring back Dj (who we need) resign Kirk and have 10MM a year left for Stephenson which is an improvement to his offer from Indy. I'd go to battle with that team. And we'd still have assets to trade for a big addition if one truly becomes available. I'm a little worried about the lack of outside shooting from the starting group, but it's about the best we can hope for. Rose (30) / DJ (18) / Kirk Stephenson (34) / JB (6) / Snell (8) JB (28) / McBuck (20) Gasol (18) / Taj (30) / Mirotic Noah (34) / Gasol (14) I'm not even giving Mirotic minutes, because in the scenario that you get Gasol, while retaining Taj and Noah, I think Thibs essentially red-shirts Mirotic (won't be in the regular rotation unless injury). Personally, I'd like to see Taj, Noah, and Gasol kept around 28 minutes each, which would leave 12 minutes for Mirotic. Enough to get his feet wet and give us a chance to see what we have. But with the above rotation, nobody is above 34 minutes. Not a bad backup plan. Has the potential to hit big if Stephenson or JB take another step up and improve their offensive games or if Mirotic turns into a star. Worst case scenario you have the best collection of front-court talent and the best defensive team in the league.
  25. So melo is going to sign a max deal with NY and probably have an ETO after year 2. If the Knicks don't improve their team after next offseason he's going to force a trade to a team of his choice, using the ETO for leverage. He'd probably be better off just saying he's going to the Bulls and working out a S+T to get max dollars here. I don't believe that Phil wouldn't take back Mirotic and a few picks.
