  1. While I don't disagree with what you're doing, it's a little weird to be publicizing it. You're probably going to get a lot of hate. That said, sell early. Ticket prices plummet the closer it gets to the game. Unless it's a playoff game or some huge game that everyone wants to go to. Opening day might fall into this category, but probably not even that game. And if it does, it's the only one. I haven't used Craigslist to buy or sell in quite awhile, but if you can sift through all the [expletive] it's not a bad resource to avoid fees. Stubhub is easy to use. Buyer pays 20% fees and seller pays 10% fees of listing price. While that can be significant, it's often worth it for the convenience.
  2. Dolphins/Bears fan here. As already mentioned Hartline is NOTHING like Welker, except that they're both white. Hartline is an outside receiver, and has a difficult time creating separation most of the time. Hes a decent possession receiver, but ideally not one of your top 2 outside receivers. He lacks the quickness and route-running ability to play in the slot consistently. I'd definitely take him as a 3rd/4th receiver for depth when Alshon/BMarsh get hurt, but would hate to trade Marshall with the idea of making Hartline a starter opposite Jeffrey. Hartline is non-existent in the red-zone and thats where you'd miss Marshall the most.
  3. I see. I think the Cubs only have my old school email which has now been deactivated. I hate the MC premium. Prettt sure the only game that would be worth it for is Opening Day.
  4. What presale? Your STH presale? Ours isn't until tomorrow. Tickets go on sale to the public Friday right? It's weird I haven't heard anything about it and didnt see anything on the Cubs website last time I checked.
  5. I'm still excited to watch Snell and Mirotic get extended minutes. Maybe Dougie even gets some run. Hopefully this will allow Jimmys other injuries to heal and he comes back with enough time to shake off the rust before the playoffs.
  6. Mirotic and Butler are gonna be fun to watch for years.
  7. Gar pretty much made it be known that there would be disappointment if Rose does not return this year. If he doesn't come back, I'm totally on board with cutting him and spreading out the hit over the next five years. And if that makes me a meatball, so be it. I prefer to pay him next year. Bring in the best backup PG you can with the assumption that he will be starting at some point. Trade Taj or Noah for this to happen. Then after next year, try to use his contract as an expiring, along with whatever assets you have at that time, to land a star to go along with Mirotic and Jimmy. If a trade for a star can't be made, and Rose is not healthy again next year, then cut him and spread the 23-24M over 5 years. Hopefully none of is this matters and he's back for the playoffs.
  8. Please be a very small tear.
  9. Of course they didn't. Their best, and most expensive, player missed every post season. What a [expletive] day.
  10. The only use I see for Perkins is against the Wizards.
  11. This theory has been trounced so many times it's not even funny. What's "killed" them in the playoffs under Thibs is Rose being dead. It's fun to pretend, I know. Why do you thing first Deng and then Butler have tanked in the playoffs over and over? Coincidence? Are they "soft"? Mostly because the best player on the team wasn't on the floor and they were guarding the best player on the planet. Jimmy pretty much sucked all of last year offensively. Not just the playoffs. Deng played well against the Nets while sick, until the botched spinal tap. Both of those guys are very limited offensively and don't really possess the necessary skill set to thrive in the playoffs. Not without their best player, at least. On the other hand, Butler looked gassed at times against the Wizards last year.
  12. I may be crazy, but I'm pretty sure Rose wanted him back before the 2012-2013 season. Why he'd still be here is baffling. He did. Further evidence that Hinrich being on this team is dumb.
  13. GarPax needs to take some blame too. Why even roster Hinrich? Especially at a contract above the vet min. They really need to construct the team in a way to cover up Thibs's shortcomings.
  14. The current standings are the ideal realistic season ending standings.
  15. I've moved from being pissed off and breaking things if the Bulls fire Thibs. to not wanting him to be fired, but wouldn't be too upset if he is. It's insane how quickly this got out of hand. Something needs to change. We need to deal a front court player for a wing player. Mirotic needs to start next to Gasol or Noah (preferably Noah, with Gasol bum-slaying off the bench). I would love to see Taj, Snell, McD, picks, whoever else traded for Tobias Harris and a rotation big. Taj would go to a 3rd team as I doubt Orlando wants him. Then start Rose, Jimmy, Harris, Mirotic, and Noah. Mirotic provides the spacing that Harris and Butler can't consistently provide. The second group would then include Dunleavy and Brooks to provide spacing, and Gasol as the interior scorer. Hopefully the rotation big you pick up can play in the high post and hit a wide open mid range jumper consistently. None of this will happen as I doubt the Bulls make a mid season trade and Thibs will never bench Gasol, but one can dream.
  16. Sad, but mostly true. http://www.blogabull.com/2015/1/31/7956711/signing-pau-gasol-was-a-mistake
  17. They just beat one of the best, if not best, teams in the league 2 nights ago on the road And? This team is just as likely to get wiped out in round 1 by a team like Detroit as it is to beat a team like Cleveland. It's a long season and they are capable of beating the best when focused and rested. Tonight looks like a team coasting/tired on the road playing against a crappy team that will turn it on if they have to in the 4th to pull away. You can use this excuse when it happens just occasionally. When a team is on the verge of going 7-8 over their last 15 games, maybe they just aren't that good. 3 out of 4 with wins over the Spurs, Mavs, and Warriors are just as useful at predicting playoff success as that random 15 game stretch you decided to pick out in January.
  18. I bet this guy also bitched the past few years when we went balls out every single game to collect as many wins as possible. The fact that Derricks knees haven't exploded and the Bulls have shown an ability to play with, and beat, the best teams in the league should be enough to give you some confidence in this teams chances of playoff success. Enough, at least, to not be "totally shocked" at winning 2 playoff series in the eastern conference.
  19. By "especially" you really mean "only" right?
  20. Gotta get that rebound.
  21. The break even point for 3 pointers last year was 32.53%. That equates to a TS% of exactly league average. So while not good, respectable isn't as far off as that cherry-picked "qualified" 3 point shooter ranking may make it seem. Ideally your high usage, max contract superstar shoots above league average, but his % itself isn't the worst thing in the world. He just needs to pick his spots better. I'm hoping that he's just protecting himself during the regular season and come playoff time he will aggressively attack the basket more consistently.
  22. Again, if you say so.
