  1. Can someone explain to me how they come up with the PA number? I understand Soler's low number if it's computed based off past performance/injury history. But then where does Almora's number come from?
  2. Smell had 2 DNP-CDs last week after starting a few games in a row prior to that. Hopefully Thibs is realizing how useless Kirk is.
  3. Teams will go through streaks during an 82 game season. They aren't as bad as they looked Monday, and aren't as good as they looked tonight, obviously. Has Thibs talked at all about letting Snell out of the doghouse? Was nice to see him look like a real NBA player tonight. Hopefully he can keep that up. Would be really nice if he could become a rotational player and give us a 2nd on-ball wing defender. I doubt he'll see minutes once Dunleavy returns, though.
  4. Chris Sheridan also had an article out yesterday that basically said that the notion that Thibs lost the team couldn't be any further from the truth. I think someone just wants website hits.
  5. Need Dunleavy back. As much as everyone hates on him at least he's not Kirk Hinrich. That defensive play in the 4th where he was caught under the basket guarding nobody as Derrick was chasing around Pierce and Wall was hilariously bad. I wish Thibs would just bench him and give all his minutes to Snell/Brooks. God I hope he retires after this season.
  6. This. And I thought this well before this game. Most of his throws are to wide open receivers (that he often doesn't even hit in stride) or quick passes to receivers who get the ball in space and pick up YAC. He's just not a very good NFL QB prospect from what I've seen. To be fair I've probably only watched about 5 or 6 of his games. But I highly doubt he ever becomes a franchise quarterback.
  7. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.
  8. Yeah, definitely not a catch under the interpretation of the current rules.
  9. It was far from the blowout Nostradamus gscool predicted before the end of the first quarter. This may sound insane to the majority of you, but perhaps that Dunleavy guy everyone was hating on a few pages back actually is beneficial to the team? Bright spot of the night: Tony Snell looked like a real NBA player tonight. That's all I got. On to the next one.
  10. How much is a max contract going to be for JGB?
  11. Seriously. This [expletive] is unreadable at (most) times.
  12. That just seems like a bad idea. They're showing improvement, why do something like this now? As a Dolphins fan, I hate this. It seems like we finally found a GM who knows what he's doing in Hickey, and now were going to limit his power/drive him away.
  13. I think they will almost certainly get Marc Gasol. They will probably sign Jimmy Butler to a max offer too, but the Bulls will match. Not sure what else is out there, unless you believe LeBron will opt out and go to a team that currently has the worst record in the NBA because Phil Jackson and Carmelo Anthony are there. Edit: looking at the FA class there are some good targets, Aldridge, Gasol and Rondo are the "max range" unrestricted FAs available. LeBron, Love and Wade have player options, while Leonard and Butler are restricted. If you go beyond that level you get guys like Al Jefferson, Dragic, DeAndre Jordan, Milsap that might work as secondard pieces, but not really the level of players that the Knicks want to be clearing cap space for. All of the guys with player options will opt out as the cap is going to rise significantly due to the TV deal. Could you imagine if LeBron, Love, and Wade went to the Knicks? LBJ would be murdered the first time back to Cleveland if he leaves them a 2nd time, particularly after all of the "coming home" nonsense from this past offseason. That would be fantastic entertainment.

Why would you think they will almost certainly get Gasol? Most of the speculation I've read put it as a longshot. Most have him staying in Memphis (most money/years, comfort in the city and with the system he's in, perennial contender). I've read some speculation about the Spurs if Duncan retires, which would make some sense. I just don't see him leaving a good team to go to a terrible one and take less money at the same time. I would bet they don't end up with anything better than Greg Monroe and Wesley Matthews.
  15. Small sample sizes are only fun when they make our players look good.
  16. Thought this was a thread about Diamond, Volquez, and Danks. I swear someone creates a thread once a year with DVD in the title and everytime my mind first goes to the Rangers trio.
  17. Was interesting to see Rose defer to Jimmy so much down the stretch. Probably for the best as Derrick just didn't have it tonight.
  18. Terrific GIF choice. I should GIF that complement, but too lazy.
  19. I was just talking about this yesterday. Noah has been my favorite player to watch over the past few years, but he's probably number 4 or 5 for me on this team. I'd rank it healthy DRose, Mirotic (may move down the list once the newness wears off), Butler, Gasol/Noah, Brooks, Taj, everyone else, Hinrich.
  20. Big loss.
  21. It's crazy how good Wall was for that 6 minute stretch in the 4th quarter compared to how meh he was the rest of the game. I like this Derrick Rose who doesn't shoot more than two or three 3s per game. That floater and mid-range jumper are unstoppable right now.
