  1. Did you have that typed up and then just hit enter after the swing and miss?
  2. PIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (removed about 1000 exclamation points)PIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111 What was that, UMF? i think he was saying something about needing to get premium QFT! I have premium, but I don't use it at work for some reason. Why does premium matter?
  3. Good work, Z. That's exactly what we needed.
  4. Now I don't think the catcher matters all that much to a pitcher, but it does make some difference. I've never pitched in the majors obviously, but I did pitch in HS and I was much more comfortable with one of our catchers over the other one. I don't know if my statistics show it, but I think I pitched better when I was pitching to the catcher I felt more comfortable with. That said, Carlos has pitched enough with Barrett, so it probably doesn't matter in this case.
  5. I think emotional messages are much more important in football where emotions can cause a swing in one game. A 7 game playoff series has so many swings and turns that trash talk will not do that much to effect the series Yeah, that's how I feel too.
  6. I understand what you're all saying, but crowd surfing? Seems a little overboard to me.
  7. Everyone was crying about the things the Bulls said before the Heat series. Everyone was saying that you don't want to piss off the Heat or give them "bulletin board material". Well...you know what happened. I'm not a big believer in "bulletin board material". It's the NBA playoffs. I doubt the Pistons will put in more effort because Noc said he thinks they are going to advance.
  8. Golden State celebrated way too much. I know it was a big win and huge upset, but come on. It's the first round...you still gotta win 2 more series just to make it to the finals.
  9. 6pm it is. Bring on the Pistons!
  10. Stop crying, Chuck.
  11. So what do you guys think Wood will become in the majors? I know what his ceiling is, but what do you realistically expect of him?
  12. I'm not opposed to letting Pie have one more year in AAA and let Jones handle CF. Pie obviously needs some more work and I don't want him losing confidence at the plate because he was rushed. That said, if you can find someone to take on all of Jones's contract AND you can get a decent prospect back, then do it.
  13. very good point I was thinking that too. Then I realized anyone who can't pick up the sarcasm in a Jacque Jones and Cesar Izturis for ARod trade, is a moron and I don't care if they are apart of NSBB. Now if you wanna talk about the joke being overused, I can get on board with that.
  14. I wouldn't blame the fans in Florida for the way that the ownership groups of the Florida teams have treated them. I think that one, probably the Marlins, will move, but it makes sense to have a team in Central Florida, especially if they can start winning, which is pretty tough in the division they play in. I know. How dare the Marlins management only give them 2 world series champions in the past 10 years!
  15. But Zambrano should significantly improve, our 5th starter spot can't get any worse, and the bullpen should get better as Lou figures out who he can trust in certain situations. I know those 3 guys have been pitching amazing and it won't continue, but Lilly and Hill should continue to pitch very good and Marquis might have turned things around. At worst, I see our pitching getting slightly worse while our offense getting much better (and more consistent).
  16. I'd maybe look at getting a SP more so than OF. Teahen is fine there. He'll hit good enough to be a 3rd outfielder. Anyways, you more than make up for it with Ram at Util, and studs at SS and 2B (and C to some extent). Your SP, however, could use some help. You only have 3 starters right now and Sheets isn't too dependable at staying healthy. Maybe you could get away with spot starting Marquis and Oliver Perez now, but it'll come back to bite you at times. I'd also look to see if Lincecum is available in your league. If he is, I'd pick him up immediately. He'll be up soon and have a dominating rookie year. I'd guess his rookie year will be somewhere between Justin Verlander and Francisco Liriano (pre-injury). Good luck.
  17. Yeah...I think he's ready.
  18. They won't. Dallas came into this thinking they could walk right through this team, and now they are screwed. Dallas might send this 6 or 7, but there's no way they win it. This is just like last year. The key game for Golden State will be Game 6. I think Dallas will come out fired up at home and will win Game 5 to send it back to Oakland. Golden State will have their chance to win the series at home and if they blow it, there's no way they go back to Dallas for a Game 7 and win. If Dallas sends it to 7, they will win the series. I agree with that, although Dallas could possibly lose game 5. I don't see it happening, but it could.. But I definitely agree, if Dallas comes back to win game 5 and game 6, there's no way I see them losing game 7. Kind of like the Cubs in 2003. After losing game 6, you just kind of had a feeling that the series was over before game 7 even started.
  19. Well he looked very good in his last couple against Detroit this year so hopefully he gets a good amount of minutes and plays well. I'm kinda surprised he didn't play better against the Heat. I don't think he got enough minutes to get comfortable so that could be why. What's the breakdown in minutes he got in each of the games? I decided to check myself. Game 1-10 minutes Game 2-7 minutes Game 3-3 minutes Game 4-1 minute Well hopefully he can give us at least 10-15 strong minutes per game in the Detroit series. We'll need him.
