    I guess our pitching staff was due for a bit of a meltdown sooner or later. Hopefully, its out of there system and we can take 3, or at least 2 if we face Linecum from the Giants. At least the offense did its thing.

    Its not so much getting carried away as he fills a temporary void. When Reed Johnson starts, Cedeno is our main righty off the bench, and it would be nice to have one who MIGHT be able to hit a baseball.

    I doubt it'll be that hard for Lou, 3 HR night or not. The 3 HR night is just a culmination to his being a AAA monster since his return to Iowa.

    The A's have a LF platoon of Travis Buck, OPSing around .600 if that, and Emil Brown at around .650. Surely Murton can top that.

    Unfortunately, he failed to mention that Cincinatti players are some of the worst in the league.

    Its going to be hard to keep him off the team after last night, unless Lou choses to go with an extra pitcher until then, which I doubt. Im not saying he has any more of a future with this team than Murton did or Hoffpauir(although Hoff may very well take Wards place next year) does, Im just saying that until Soriano returns, hes just a perfect replacement for Murton, if thats humanly possible.
