  1. He knows theres a part time job opening here, and he fits the bill perfectly.
  2. Sheets out after 110 pitches through 6.
  3. So wait, what sign of the apocolypse would Glendon Rusch beating Ben Sheets be?
  4. Good to see the Rebel getting some respect.
  5. When did we get Doobs back? Hes been back for a while now.
  6. 18-5. Damn. It was 9-5 in the 8th about a minute ago.

  9. Glendon Rusch has been replaced with a batting tee for this evenings game.
  10. Im surprised that Murton was sent to Oaklands AAA team. Hes got to be an upgrade over Travis Buck or Emil Brown, doesnt he?
  11. This should be another order of buisness: Chad Fox. Hes taking up a 40 man spot. Now that Gaudins here, unless Wuertz or someone are on the trading block, I cant imagine him coming back, even in September. Time the old DFA.
  12. My original point was that pitchers are figuring out his technique. It used to be hed get 2 strikes, and then foul off a ton of them, and often draw a walk or a hit, or at least wear the pitcher down a bit. Now it seems in those same situations, once hes in foul off mode, they just throw something out of his reach and he'll chase.
  13. I'd rather dump Marquis, he sucks. I'd rather dump Marquis to any willing taker (if any, if not, then release), and find a taker for Howry. I'd rather have Wuertz getting the mop up innings that Howry is taking up at this point, I have little hope that Howry will provide any VORP in the second half, unlike Wuertz. I wouldnt be surprised if we could get a decent bench player for Marquis from a pitching desperate team. Hes a proven inning eater, and could be an OK 4-5 starter in a more pitcher friendly park than Wrigley.
  14. In a heartbeat. i don't know about milton anymore... i didn't know that he was as hobbled as he is this season...i didn't know that he has been starting as a DH a lot... personally, i am really not that big of a fan of kosuke in center... And then who takes right? Considering Im all alone in thinking Micah Hoffpauir, wed need another trade anyway. what are you on about? our outfield is LF - Soriano CF - Edmond/Johnson RF - Fukudome ? unless we are getting bradley for the bench and DH...i doubt we would do that...but maybe...i would be down for that move That was a brain fart. I totally misread your post. I thought you said you WERE a big fan of Kosuke to center.

  16. I remember he wasnt sure if he was going to wave his NTC, and I kept thinking why would he want to be on that go nowhere team when he could be a Cub.
  17. Not sure if your joking about McGriff, but he did give us a very nice season and a half, plus it was the first Cubs trade that I was old enough to be truely excited about.
  18. This just seems to be him talking, and being overly optimistic, but if they do get him back, thats a hell of a rotation the Brewers would have.
