His offensive numbers this year are shockingly low. There are probably a lot of pitchers hitting better than that. Maybe they can trade him to the Cardinals so TLR can bat him ninth and it will actually make sense. Hes deteriorated into a 53 year old Ronny Cedeno.

With Hill looming, I'd shop him around and take the best offer. We can get league-average production for a lot less than ~7 million per year. And most teams can't. I think Marquis may have some actual trade value. Maybe a B prospect. If we had the need, we could probably land a decent bench bat for him. There are mucyh worse number 5, and even 4 starters out there. Of course, that can all change if Marquis has his usual second half melt down.

I wonder if Kosuke keeps slumping and DeRosa and Fontenot keep producing, Lou will consider moving Kosuke down in the lineup.
