  1. He hasn't pitched since Saturday. He could dust some rust off too. I doubt it though. Wuertz hasn't pitched in 2 1/2 months, how bout we get him some work? With Gaudin coming, Cotts doing well, and Marmol out of his funk, Wuertz next work may well be in a different uniform.
  2. Yea his .394 OBP is totally reminicent of past Cubs players. And you're going on ignore. Thank god for that feature. Added him a long time ago. Kind of the Junior High version of ignoring someone, where rather than ignore them, you talk about ignoring them. Interesting that you seem to know so much about Junior High behaviour, no? HORNKOHLNED I happened to be in Junior High once upon a time, yes? How about you? Did you just skip from grammar school all the way to pompus schmuck? Attack the argument, not the poster. I do think it's tactless to tell someone they're getting ignored, though, as if the ignored party is supposed to run away and cry. Yes, and I frankly don't feel that LLF deserves the crap he gets on this board. Fine to disagree, but very little has been out of line. There are plenty of people far more inflamatory. What's the deal? 2nd in line when CubsGM isnt around
  3. lol, whoa nellie personal attacks, whatever He's been ignored Hold on, hold on, so the you seem to know so much about junior high behaviour comment want a personal attack? Subtle, yes, but personal just the same. Fred's usually pretty good natured, though. He was probably only being a little bit of a jerk. And I apologize. Im still figuring out why the whole Kosuke being Cubbed comment opted some guy, I forget who to break out the dreaded ignore thread. Im sensative man. I cant take that kind of thing.

  7. Another injury for the Rockies. Ryan Spillborghs leaves with a chest injury. That teams had bad luck on top of bad luck.

  9. I know everyones talking about how the hell did we get Harden so cheap when the As wanted a Harenesque package, but heres my take: did anyone actually here Beane say he wanted such a package? Did anyone here Beane ask for 2 top 50 prospects? It was probably all just rumors, and a deal may have been in the works for a while now, and Hendry just decided to speed things up.
  10. If we can get A.J. Burnett, that would be super, otherwise, Im satisfied with what we have. Jason DuBois or Micah Hoffpauir can do whatever it is that Matt Murton was(or wasnt) doing until Soriano returns, and then we really dont have any more holes to fill.
  11. Gallagher may well be a future star. I dont know about the others, but I can tell you whatever happens, Matt Murton is dancing all the way to Oakland.
  12. so which Cardinal pitcher shut down the mighty Phillies? Please tell me it wasnt Mulder. edit: Joel SOAPDROPPING Pinearo? My lord. I guess its the Cards way of saying :banghead: you Cubs and Brewers, buy all you want.
  13. Well, well, well, it would appear as the Moses of the Milwaukee Brewers is melting down.
  14. That would be the best move, but I dont know if it will happen. Hes still a pretty decent long man, but we now have Gaudin for that, and maybe Marquis. Marquis could also be a trade candidate. Granted, hes Jason Marquis, but hes an innings eater, and some team might show some interest.
  15. I wouldnt be surprised of Cotts or Wuertz end up being traded by the end of the month.
  16. Ramirez, Soto, or Edmonds couldnt have done that with the bases loaded?
  17. http://milwaukee.brewers.mlb.com/images/players/mugshot/ph_430611.jpg
  18. He really seems to. Yeah, Gallagher has a bright future, but Murton never had a chance on the Cubs, and Patterson is 25 and didnt earn many brownie points in his last few games on the big league club. I dont know much about Donaldson, but with Soto, and Castillo behind him, I dont know what his future looked like.
  19. Yes you're crazy for wishing we gave up more than we did. And for thinking that Hoffpauir will thrive anywhere as a full time player. i think LLF is hoffpauir's dad. that's the only thing that can explain his amount of hoffpauir love. What can I say, I think he has what it takes, he just needs the opportunity.
  20. So Harang loads the bases with 0 out, throws 183 pitches, and we get 1 run.
