  1. Whon says Kosuke only has to cost us games with his bat.
  2. Theriots the type of player who will never win over some people because he'll never be a big OPS guy, but the fact is, your not going to have .800-.900 OPSers all through the lineup, so if you can get a .300+ hitter with an OPS in the .700s at the 8 or even 7 spot, its OK by me.
  3. Dont tell me you've forgotten about his brutal start to the 2008 season.
  4. As we can tell by the poll on this boneheads site, not a lot of peiople agre with him
  5. I predict that new Yankee stadium will soon be dubbed The House that Bradley Built.
  6. So your saying as bad as the Pirates are now, they have nothing to look forward to either.
  7. Star quarterback and star protection for him all in less than an hour. Could this be the greatest day in Chicago Bears history since 1/26/1986? I think it just might be. Dont tell me Angelo actaully wants to win again.
  8. Cubs win 9-8! Not sure how we scored the walkoff though, just that it wasnt a home run.
  9. In positive news, Jay Cutler is a Bear. Kyle Orton is not. Neiter are 2 first round draft picks that Angelo would have squandered in the worst possible way.
  10. Patton sure chose the wrong time to have his worst outting of the spring.
  11. Lately, after having a massive lead early on, only to settle for a tie has felt like an accomplishment. This si something that definitely needs to be worked out before the season starts.
  12. After Spring Training, the correct answer to the question in the title of this thread is Gregg Marmol Heilman Cotts Patton Fox Vizcaino/Guzman
  13. Chad Fox, he who looked awesome all spring, yet stood no chance of making the team managed to nail down a perfect 8th. Lets see what Gregg is made of next inning.
  14. Just DFA him or whatever you need to do. If put through waivers, I cant imagine anyone taking him anyway. Hes been dreadfull all spring against minor leaguers, and showing no signs of improvement.
  15. Now usually, not letting 6+ run leads shouldnt have to be a focus for a team to work on, but in our case, it well may be.
  16. Apparently, we asked them for a case of Gatorade, and all they were offering was a case of Jewel brand Sports Drink, and neither side would budge
  17. 6-8 after guess who gave up another 3 runs, driving up his trade value even further.
  18. Maybe they can keep it that way this time, hey, how bout it?
  19. See this is why you dont sign spare parts like Gathright to major league deals before spring training. Superior players may very well be available for the same price, if not cheaper by the time it ends.
  20. MLB Scoreboards been stuck on 1-1 middle of the 2nd for quite some time now. Our run came on a Soriano leadoff HR. Lee, Bradley, Ramirez, and Soto all sitting this one out.
  21. I couldn't help but notice the publucation date. Do you think they were being serious? Yes. The Cubs have been the "trendy" pick for the media to take it all since 2003. I think he was kidding. Im not questioning the poster, it just seems that every year since 2003, with the exception of 2006, The Cubs have been the pre season favorite to win it all.
  22. I couldn't help but notice the publucation date. Do you think they were being serious? Yes. The Cubs have been the "trendy" pick for the media to take it all since 2003.
  23. I see your back in the land of the living. Enjoy your new loogy.
