  1. Awesome what are we down like 4 games now? 3. Will be 2.5 or 3.5 by the end of the night.
  2. Wow, Lou really sounds like he doesnt care whats going on around him in that interview.
  3. Bit if we didnt move Dero, wed be too right handed and we wouldnt have been able to get Peavy.
  4. Best trade option for us, IMO. The guy can play 3b while Ramirez is down/needs rest, he can spell Theriot a little more often than Blanco because his bat it better, and he could probably play some 2b too. If the light suddenly goes on, then he's a better alternative than almost anyone available for trade....but the chances of that are unknown (hasn't been given much of a shot). I don't know why more teams don't go after prospects that an original team has lost interest in. As for Wood, you could also put Fontentot back in a utility role when Aramis comes back and slide Theriot to second base. Give Wood some playing time and he could end up being what Khalil Greene was supposed to be (not defensively, of course). We did get Brad Snyder, even though he never had any intention of using him. Also, I think John Ford Griffin was a pretty decent prospect at one point, even thouh hes well on the wrong side of 30 now.
  5. I didnt realise that not being of any use to the team was considered a medical issue. If so, Aaron Miles better get to the doctor STAT I understand you are joking, but you realize you are making a joke about the guy having some kind of medical issue thats non baseball related? For all we know the guy could have cancer or something like that, the jokes really arent needed in my opinion. true, But due to the timing, with 13 pitchers, brutal offense, and the promise, or at least rumor of change, Its hard for me to believe that its anything other than wanting to bring Fox back up, hopefully to actually put him to use this time.
  6. Tonight and Thursday are Len and Bob, tomorrow is the bad guys. Good thing Ill be following tomorrows game through gameday at work, or Id have to watch the game on mute with something more pleasent for the audio. Like fingernails scratching a chalkboard or a cat being fed into a woodchipper.

  8. Yup only been 6 days. We were carrying 13 pitchers werent we? You would think its a pitcher going on the dl, unless Soriano going on DL. I dont know, I hate when they give 1 part of the info, leave the rest for speculation. With out luck, its probably Lilly.
  9. Probably Wadell. I hope that nobody important has an actual injury. I wonder if Lou has finally decided to give him the go at 3rd.
  10. That's what concerns me. I doubt we'd go after him again, but if we do, now would be the time - before his value shoots through the roof. If he does keep hitting, and thr Indians do decide to trade him, I wouldnt be surprised if he carries a similar price tag to Holliday due to his versatility. More teams seem to be in need of an infielder than an outfielder, and DeRo can do both. If you are going to go for a rent a player, it may as well be one you can plug into your everyday lineup without moving too many guys around.
  11. We'll have none of that here ! Not quite sure, but I guess its better left unanswered.
  12. i guess i don't understand why you still want Soriano hitting 3rd if you're so concerned with his current struggles. i mean, you have the guys who are actually starting to hit (Lee, Fontenot and to a lesser degree, Soto) at the bottom of the order. how is that supposed to spark more offense? Theriot Fukudome Lee Bradley Soto Soriano Font Garbage P is more to my liking. Fuku and Fontenot could be interchangeable, depending on whose hotter, as can the piece of garbage of the day and the pitchers spot.
  13. They were discussing this on the ESPN broadcast tonight. They mentioned that Choo could simply not report for his service time, but it would essentially mean he could never return home to South Korea again. Quite a choice. What if in a three way trade, We get Choo, the Indians get some South Korean military to be named later, and South Korea military gets Aaron Miles?
  14. Considering he has never hit a grand slam before in his career. So ITS NEVER happened. I would say it wasn't that perdictable at all :) That is pretty surprising that its his 1st. I remember Jeter hit his first against us in '05 or '06.
  15. not really. moving soriano from leadoff isn't going to make the other guys hit. maybe not, but if you get someone out there thats not going to strike out on 3 straight bad pitches to start the game off, it could help ignite the offense. Try Theriot. Hes really the only option. Maybe Fukudome. Im not saying that it will, but when you start the game off with a quick, ugly strikeout, it sets a tone.
  16. I get the feeling that even the Cobs could rattle off 5 runs against that Indians bullpen.
  17. Aaron Heilman and Neil Cotts for Mark DeRosa. Final offer.
  18. I think were learning why the Indians are where they are in such a weak division.
  19. Once again, Cubs are screwed by miserable relief pitching.
  20. This Cleveland pen is beyond brutal.
  21. yeah, but we were too right handed, so it was meaningless. Let me know if I need to repost in green.
  22. The thought that not only Dero, but Casey MacGhee could both be 10 times better than the carousel of crap weve had since Aramis went down makes me want to break things.
  23. The worst part is that with a timely hit here and there, we could potentially be a few games in 1st.
