  1. Anderson and Getz are 2 of the easiest (non Cub)outs in baseball and we cant get them out.
  2. Is there a team with less runs than the Cobs since may?
  3. Last Friday. This is interesting: Soriano hasn't had a multi-hit game since May 17. His OPS was almost .200 higher then. Wow And hes still hitting leadoff. fng amazing. yeah, and with so many other viable options on the roster. Any options better than the 1 who cant get on base to save his life.
  4. I dont think weve had 70 guys on base this month.

  6. Im about ready for Z to give fat boy the ole Michael Barett treatment.
  7. RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. This has the feel of one of those games where the 1st team on the board gets the W. Sadly, weve had a lot of those lately, and sadly, its usually the other team on the board first. And yes, Fukudome is back to his post May 2008 form, and probably going to stay that way.
  9. Lee sure did DP us out of what could have been a decen inning. I guess its up to Kosuke.
  10. Wow, that might have been the quickest inning in recorded history for both sides.
  11. Too bad we cant get their Felix Pie and Andres Blanco out.
  12. Ever since he threw that ball away, hes been OK. Unfortunately, his coleagues have not followed suit. .400/.438/.533 in his last 7 days. Nice Him and Derrek Have been the only ones worth a damn in that time frame though, and you need more tha 2 guys who can hit, no matter how good your pitching is.

  14. You need to be more than hittable to let this offense get you.
  15. And woever does will get ejected, and still no runs.
  16. Ya mean back when air was clean and sex was dirty ??? Yeah, but you had to walk 15 miles to the ballpark, barefoot over broken glass and hot coals ya did, but tickets only cost 2 cents.
  17. If Z can give us 8 more of those and hit a home run, were back to .500.
  18. Almost time. Hopefully we can battle our way back to .500.
  19. I suspect, although I really don't have any first hand knowledge, that the court would have given the team some kind guidelines, or threshold as you say, that they can operate within. Given the pending sale, I would think that the court main concern would be that Hendry doesn't do anything that would negatively impact the sale price of the team. This is also what makes the current "snag" in the sale process so interesting. I can understand not picking up a big contract, but when were dealing with this kind of money, would soending say 5 million dollars really make much of a difference, especially if it was for someone who could help the team? Also, if were talking about someone like Mark Teahen, Russ Branyan, or Ronnie Belliard, theres not much money involved. Teahen for instance signed for about 3.5 mil, so Im assuming theres about 2 mil left on the deal.
  20. Yeah, I know. It's really a choice between sucking really bad, and sucking incredibly bad. I can't really believe that there isn't a better option out there somewhaere that Hendry couldn't be getting after. When the options are that bad, theres no reason not to bat Z 8th.
