  1. We already have the series under our belts, time to go ahead and go for the sweep. This is the team and pitcher we can do it against. Go Cubs! Go Tigers! Go Royals!
  2. Shark with 8 full, 0 runbe 6 hits, 4 BB, 6 K. He usually follws up a good or decent outting with a poor one, so I expect him to ge tagged for about 8 in 3 innings next time out.
  3. This is actually huge, because everything Ive heard previously has been after the all star break. The way Lees hitting, and Bradleys pulling it together and Kosukes and Geo are showing signs of life and were 2.5 games back, the folks in Missouri and Wisconsin are probbly starting to get a bit nervous.
  4. what about him?
  5. Looks like the White Sox are about to give us a boost into sole possesion of 3rd.
  6. It would appear as though his non baseball related illness wasnt particularly serious.
  7. lazy butthole now that the cat is out of the bag :-( 3:00 into this clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MoBmFotd_s8 The beginning of that clip had all the makings of some kind of bizarre old timey porno. Its actually a really old school version of Babes in Toyland, I can tell by the music.
  8. I hereby suspend all Aaron Miles hate until tomorrow. Him and Blanco were more productive in that inning than Mike Fontenot has in quite a while. I do feel bad for Kerry Wood though. hes been brutal, as have the rest of his pen mates this season, and we tag him for 2 straight blown saves. As I recall, he was never very good when it came to 1 run saves for us, but was pretty lights out with a 2-3 run lead. Seriously though, some guy named Luis Valbuena with 1 home run on the season and 3 against us? Unreal. Now mind you, these werent just the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th home runs of the season for him. Oh no, they were the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th home run of his career.
  9. Cant really be considered a fake rally with your guaranteed outs coming to the plate.
  10. Pretty good at bat to end with a perfect pitch sailing down the middle.
  11. I cnt imagine them being a worse hitter than Miles.
  12. Are we ever going to have another easy game?
  13. Thats the closest to doing somethig right Miles has done in a while. Good for him.
  14. Whoever thos guy is, just get him out and set up for the Soriano walk off.
  15. Id bring in Gregg for V Mart and Choo, but thats just me.
  16. OK, Im officially convinced that the only reason LaRussa tried so hard to steal Miles back this offseason was to psyche Hendry into offering him a foolish contract, and as a thank you, Miles vowed to take down the Cubs from inside.
  17. an AL cub killer lol this guy is [expletive] garbage Throw him in a catagory with Augie Ojeda, Craig Counsell, David Eckstein, Aaron Miles, Chris Getz, Jeff Keppinger, and all of those other gritty players we cant get out to save our lives.
  18. Some guy too smart to swing at Heilman garbage, apparently.
  19. Guzmans hurting and theyre probably saving Gregg, so its between Heilman and Patton.
  20. Lilly doesnt give up a walk through 6, and these guys cant find the plate to save their lives.
